Chapter 3
Drew’s face went pale, his eyes reddening with fury as he fixed his gaze on me.
“Refusal…… no…… no, Shirley, refusal is irrevocable, Moon Goddess.”
He grabbed my shoulders in panic and shook his head.
The rejection ritual brought unbearable pain to our bodies, the flames burning our bond markers, the overwhelming agony tearing through us.
Drew fell to his knees, gasping for air, tears streaming down his face.
I glanced at the man I had once loved, the look of frustration on his face as he looked at me was heartbreaking, but I could never forget his betrayal.
The agony that I faced due to his betrayal was far worse than this..
The sacred bond I once cherished was now in ruins.
The next day, the official divorce papers, approved by the werewolf council, arrived, finalizing the end of my relationship with Drew.
Drew stood alone outside the council building, lighting a cigarette as he stared at me with a
disheveled, bitter expression.
“Shirley, you won’t be welcome back at your house. You’ve got nowhere else to go. I’m waiting for you to come crawling back and beg me!”
I let out a contemptuous laugh, not sparing him another glance, and turned to head back to my parents‘ house.
When I arrived, my brother Alexander had already received the news. He sent the servants to block me outside the house.
stood before me and commanded, “Go apologize to Drew and Linda right now. If this

breakup puts our family, and the entire pack.. in danger, you’ll no longer be my sister!”
Tlooked up at Alexander, tall and imposing as always, and felt a bitter smile creep onto my
face.
We had grown up together, inseparable.
I could still recall when he was crippled in an attack, losing the use of both legs, and how he had wilted into despair afterward.
Yet, even so, when once I was surrounded by a couple of vicious rogue wolves, he would
force himself to take the form of a wolf and growl violently to scare off those with malicious
intent.
I will never forget the day I used my wish to heal him.
He transformed into his wolf form and ran wildly with me across the endless grasslands,
free and full of life.
The howling wind whipped our fur, and eventually we both collapsed in the grass, exhausted.
Alexander’s eyes lit up and he swore solemnly to me:
“Shirley. I cherish some of this that you have given me, and from now on, all my efforts will
be to better protect you.”
But this was the same brother who once loved me so much. Now, after I lost my godly powers, he had eyes only for Linda as his sister–and he had beaten me so badly I
miscarried.
Seeing that I remained silent, he tried to reason with me again:
“Shirley, as her sister, you should’ve supported Linda more. How can you be jealous of her just because you’ve lost your powers? Everything we’re doing is for the good of our family!”
I pulled out the silver bracelet Alexander had given me when I came of age.

he intricate totems engraved on the bracelet had been carefully carved by his hands, each one holding a memory of our bond.
Now, a few drops of my unwiped blood stained the surface of the bracelet.
“If you no longer recognize me as your sister, then I’ll act as though I don’t have you as my
brother.”
I handed the bracelet back to him and said coldly, “Take this. From now on, we are nothing to each other.”
Alexander let out a disdainful laugh, as though I’d told a ridiculous joke.
“You think giving me back a bracelet makes up for what you owe me?”
I froze, confused. “What do I owe you?”
Alexander’s voice turned sharp. “If I hadn’t shown up in time that day, those rouges would’ve crippled you just like me! If you want to sever ties with me, then I’ll make sure to destroy my legs myself!”
His words hit me like a heavy blow, leaving me momentarily stunned.
Alexander pulled the saber from his waist and stepped closer to me.
With a sharp glare, he raised the blade high above his head as if preparing to strike.
I didn’t flinch. I didn’t move.
Seeing no fear in my eyes, Alexander hesitated. With a clenched jaw, he clutched the knife in his hand.
In the next second, the saber pierced through my thigh, and blood splattered on the ground.
Apiercing pain came, and I let out a muffled grunt, almost unable to support myself as I fell to the ground.
You, why didn’t you dodge?!” Alexander almost screamed at the top of his voice…
His face went white, his voice slightly panicked and trembling.
He had thought that I would dodge in fear, but he didn’t expect to really hurt me.
He cursed, “Did you think I would be heartbroken? You are originally a divine messenger, so maybe it’s simply an illusion, right? Even if your whole body is poked into holes, you can’t replace Linda’s position in my heart, Just don’t be silly!”
As he spoke, he assisted me as I was about to fall..
I said weakly, “This wound means we are completely unrelated, and I will never be sister again.”
your
Alexander’s hand, still gripping the saber, trembled slightly, and his lips parted as if he were about to speak.
But before he could say anything, I lost consciousness from blood loss.
I awoke the next night.
“Now, all I needed to do was sever ties with my parents, and I would be able to return to the
Moon Goddess.
At that moment, a powerful force jerked me from the bed.
My father, Jones, seethed with anger. “On your knees! How could I not see before that you’re a woman filled with such jealousy? Shirley, you’re so foolish! How long will this last?!”
My mother, Shakira, stood nearby, looking at me with contempt.
She said, “Shirley, you’ve changed. You used to be the most obedient and understanding daughter. How did you become such an unreasonable shrew?”
Jones grunted and added, “I’ve asked Alpha Drew to come and bring you back. Soon, you’ll apologize to Alpha and Linda in front of the whole family. If you do, we’ll still consider you our daughter!”
oked at them coldly, letting out a bitter laugh.
you really consider me your daughter, how could you have let Alexander beat me like that? How could you have watched me covered in blood and done nothing? After that, you’re no longer my parents!”
Jones, furious, slapped me hard across the face.
Shakira stood by, watching coldly, with no intention of intervening.
My parents were now disgusted with me.
But I knew the truth. When they first discovered I was a God’s Ambassador, they had treated me like their most treasured daughter, eager to spoil me and keep me close.
Once. I thought that even if I could never return to the moon again, as long as I could stay by my parents‘ side for the rest of my life, I would still be willing.
Now, it feels like nothing more than a cruel joke.
At that moment, the villa outside was full of activity, and a servant came to inform, “Alpha Drew and Miss Linda are returning.”
Jones glared at me with a hateful look and dragged Shakira forward to greet them, no longer paying any attention to the weakened state I was in on the floor.
He ordered a couple of servants to watch over me, telling them not to let me out, no matter what happened to me.
Outside, there was a buzz of activity, as if it were a completely different world from the cold atmosphere in the bedroom.
I heard Drew’s familiar voice asking, “Where’s Shirley?”
Don’t worry about her. Let her reflect in her room; this behavior is so unlike her!”
I curled my lips into a bitter smile and slowly closed my eyes.
Just moments ago, the stitched wound in my abdomen had torn open again when Jones had pulled me.
Blood soaked through my clothes and spread across the carpet, but the servant who was assigned to guard me only stared at me indifferently, showing no sign of moving.
I don’t know how long passed, but as I watched the blood pooling on the floor, my consciousness began to fade.
I felt a strange sense that I could finally return.
Then, a gentle voice echoed in my ears:
“Shirley, my child, I am about to take back all the wishes you gave them. Return to me.”
At that moment, a commotion erupted outside the door. “Is something wrong with Shirley? Why is there such a strong scent of blood?”
