Pearl leaned against the wall outside the bathroom and tried to stay as far away from the smelly Tina as possible so that she would not sell it.

Pearl asked the servants to place the family rules on the headboard of Tina’s room and paste them on the wall.
“There are a hundred family rules. With your intellect, I think two days should be enough”
Pearl said, “Two days from now, I’ll come to check on your memorization progress. If you miss reciting even one rule, you’ll receive a lash.
