The next day after vomitting and waiting for the morning sickness to pass, I got ready for work and begin to head out when I was stopped by Alexander’s voice who was sitting on the couch browsing through some documents in his one hand while hist other hand was holding a cup of coffee.
I deseprately needed a cup of coffee as my morning doesn’t start without it. I am a morning person but these days just the smell of coffee makes me vomit. Forgetting about the coffee,I stared at the handsome man holding the coffee, dressed up in a black three piece designer suit.

“Good morning. Alexander. I greeted him morningnervously because after last night when I refered myself as his plaything. things turned a little tense. He fell offended and stormed out without saying anything “I don’t think I can eat right now due to my morning sickness, but I will eat lunch.”
“Still unacceptable.” he growls “Eat then leave.” he gave me that intimidating look and I knew that he wouldn’t let me leave until I have eaten something so I gave in and had a glass of milk and a toast.
“Happy now?” I asked and he nod as he stood up, taking his folder and looks at me over his shoulder “You coming or what?*
“Coming where?” I asked with a frown.
“I will drop you to your office.” He announced and I groaned shaking my head.
“Enough, Xander. I told you that I won’t let you dictate my life. Tam very much capable of driving myself. I have my own car in case you are forgetting.” I scowled picking up my bag, car keys and phone along with my sketch pad where I have designed several dresses for my boss “Goodbye, Alexander and have a nice day.”
With that said, I left his place and headed to my office in my car After a few minutes of drive I pulled up in front of D&S designs.
The fashion brand I work for as a junior designer when I should have been promoted to senior a long time ago but office politics sucks and stopped my well earned promotion. I was just gathering money to open my own brand in a few years so I won’t have to work for anyone and sell my precious designs.
“Good morning, Betty. How are you doing today and how are the kids?” I asked my co–worker after taking a seat in my cabin.
“Everything is great, Cat and so are the kids‘ she replied with a sapile “I heard that your apartment got flooded yesterday. Since it must be under maintainance where are you living? she asked curiously and I got the idea she knew about Laila, me and Jerry.
“Is there something you want to ask Betty or are you really concerned about me?”

“Betty, do you know if the new fabire that was ordered has arrived so I can get working on it?” I asked, in a firm business tone. Betty was a smart woman and got the idea that I didn’t want to talk about that.
“Yes, it arrived yesterday but I don’t think you can go to the inventory room as boss is being really strict and asshole about it, as if he was smuggling drugs in those fabrics or something she miswers and begin to work when something popped as she spoke.
“Oh, one more thing. I have heard a very top notch billionaire who is investing in an upcoming movie is planning to hire our company to design the costume. Can you imagine if one of us get selected for the project?
“Really? But, I doubt boss will select anyone of us, as he always praise Jessica only all the time, as if she was the fashion queen or something when in reality she buys the ideas online from struggling fashin students.”
“Are serious?” Betty gasped “I didn’t know, but Cat, if boss doesn’t put you up in this project then he is an idiot because everyone knows that it’s your designs that ace this brand. I am having a feeling that you will get this project.”
“I don’t hope for things that are not going to happen, Betty. Why imagine things when we already know that Jessica is going to get the project.” I said with a shrug and turned my attention to my work. As I was working, I heard someone clear her throat and glanced up to see my boss’s assistant standing by my cubicle.
“Oh hey, Ivy:” I spoke with a fake smile I didn’t see you there. Is there something you need?” I asked and she rolled her eyes. she was a bitch who thinks so highly of herself when all she is a plastic bimbo.
“Mr. Alfred, has demanded to see you. Now!” she ordered “Come with me.”
“Huh? But why?” I asked confused, but nonethless followed her to boss’s office. Once I enter I looked at my boss sitting behind his desk with a tall figure sitting in front of the desk with his bac to me, which looked really familiar.
“Mr. Alfred, did you ask to see me?” I asked, in a professional tone when my boss stood up with a smile and approached me.
