“You’re injured. Yonas was a little worried.
Thunder and lightning lit up the sky. Yasmine trembled and jumped into his arms. She was afraid of rainy days and
thunder.
Yonas held her in his arms, one hand around her waist and the other touching her hair. She didn’t see the guilt and worry in
Yonas’s eyes.
Yasmine smelled his chest and felt safe. Yonas probably felt sorry for not coming to her earlier.
The e next day, the rain has evaporated. The sun shone brightly as if last night’s rain did not exist.
Yasmine opened her amber eyes and found that Yonas had left. She touched the pillow and thought he should have left long
ago.
She got dressed and went out of the bedroom. Breakfast was already placed on the dining room table with a note: [Good morning. I’m going to work] Mr. Russell also drew a little heart on the note, which made Yasmine smile.
