An hour after Yasmine fell into the water, the police arrived at the stables, immediately pulling up the surveillance footage. The video showed Helen walking past with Irene, but there was no surveillance by the river. The police took Helen into custody first. Xavier tried to stop them, but no one paid attention to him.
Yasmine kept a calm face, but her mind was filled with memories of being pushed at the hospital two years ago and being forced to forgive Helen. “Xavier, do you remember? This has happened before, but because of you, I let it go. I won’t do that this time.”
