Chapter 8: She’s actually alive!
Anna could feel her strength slowly fading. She took a deep breath and pulled Jeremy closer to her.
Seeing him trembling in fear.
She composed herself gritted her teeth, and said. “Baby, don’t be afraid. Follow Auntie’s instructions, hold onto me, and don’t let go
Jeremy obediently nodded, his arms outstretched, tightly embracing Anna’s neck.
She once again tried to extend her arms, regaining the strength to support herself.
Anna took a deep breath and slowly moved upward, almost reaching the elevator entrance. She said, “Little one, grab your uncle’s hand.”
Jeremy hesitated, turned back, and shook his head, his eyes seeming to ask, “What will you do if I go up?”
“Little one, don’t worry, I have the ability to bring you back from up there. Can’t I get up myself?”
Anna understood, and in her gentle voice, she reassured Jeremy.
Jeremy pursed his lips, bearing the affirmative answer, and then he extended his little hand, grabbing Caleb’s hand.
Caleb, in a hurry, immediately held Jeremy in his arms. “Oh my, my Jeremy, you scared me. Thank goodness you’re okay.”
He could feel that his head was still intact!
But just as he relaxed, the cables suddenly moved again! This time, the elevator was going up!
Anna hadn’t reached the top yet!
“Hurry up!” Caleb, who had just managed to put down a large stone, was instantly on edge again.
He had called right away to shut down the elevator’s circuit, but now the elevator was moving up! If Anna couldn’t get up, she’d be crushed by the -elevator!

Just as Caleb was about to speak to comfort Jeremy, at that moment, Arthur pushed through the crowd, his imposing aura carrying him towards them. Jeremy seemed to see a savior and tugged at Arthur’s sleeve, looking extremely anxious.
“Drive to the hospital!” After telling Caleb, Arthur quickly bent down, his well defined hands lifting Anna, his cold and stern face showing no emotion,
Laura saw everything!
She shivered, seeing the woman’s face clearly–it was Anna! It was really Ana!

How is that possible? She had seen her once in n the hospital last time; she couldn’t have been mistaken!
Anna should have died five years agol.
She hurriedly took out her phone, her hands trembling as she called Dominic.
The call was quickly answered.
“Dominic, um, I want to ask you for a favor. Can you get the participant information for the Essence International Design Competition?”
Laura tried to restrain her emotions. She didn’t want Dominic to know that Anna was still alive until she had the truth.
“Dear, I can’t access the participant data for the Essence competition.”
Dominic sounded helpless. “Why do you ask?”
After all, it was an international event. Even if he used Reynolds family’s status, he couldn’t access such personal information.
