Chapter 21: Utterly Stupid!
Arthur tightened his face and instinctively distanced himself from Leah as she approached.
He just didn’t like being too close to women.
“Mr. Reynolds, you might not know, because of the misunderstanding you witnessed earlier, Laura and I thought that it would be good to have you come as a witness,” Leah said, tears streaming down her face. “We also wanted to tell Dominic the good news that Anna is still alive. But we didn’t expect that she would be so despicable and use such tactics against Laura!”
“Mr. Reynolds, you also know that day we were at the appraisal center near the amusement park, we treated her well. We even compensated Anna for her clothes!”
“But I never expected that using our sincere intention to apologize, she would scheme against us!” Leah became more and more angry as she spoke, her eyes turning redder.
Meanwhile, Anna smirked and watched their performance from the side.
Leah noticed that Arthur’s face remained expressionless, and her gaze fell lightly on Anna, which annoyed her.
This fox, Anna, not only attracted Arthur’s attention, but even Dominic’s….
Fox! She could attract men’s attention wherever she went!
Dominic struggled to swallow his saliva, still unable to believe that the living Anna was standing right in front of
him.
That year.
It was a car accident. Because he didn’t trust Kate and insisted on driving to the hospital himself, he ended up mistaking the brake for the accelerator and drove off the bridge!
For so many years, he had never dreamed of Anna. He used to think that she must hate him and would never forgive him!
But it turned out she never died!
Thinking back to that year, when she was lying at his feet with a desperate look in her eyes, Dominic’s heart stirred.
“Leah, stop talking. There’s nothing to misunderstand about sister,” Laura held onto Dominic tightly, her tone pleading. “I’m fine, really. I’m fine.”
“Laura, how is this a misunderstanding? Otherwise, would you have fallen to the ground by yourself? I reminded Miss Jenkins that you were pregnant! I saw her stick her leg out to trip you!” Leah added fuel to the fire. “Dominic, Laura was actually planning to surprise you with the pregnancy! But who would’ve thought this woman would fake her death and come back to do such a vicious thing!”
Chapter 21: Utterly Stupid!
A glimmer of light flashed in Dominic’s eyes. Did he actually feel pity for her just now?
That wicked woman, Anna. If it weren’t for her, how could Laura have had a miscarriage?
And now she’s using the same trick again!
How much does she dislike Laura?
“Dominic, did you see that? This woman has nothing to say now! She’s practically admitting it!” Leah spoke calmly.
“Anna! Why would you do this to Laura?” Dominic almost roared.
“Believing whatever others say. Dominic, you’re still the same as five years ago, making no progress at all.”
people Anna’s cold gaze swept across Dominic’s face. “What evidence do you have to prove that it was me? Are peo allowed to make baseless accusations these days?”
“I am an eye witness! I saw it with my own eyes! Anna, you can’t deny it!” Leah vented the anger that had been brewing inside her for a long time.
“Eye witness? But eye witnesses can lie.”
Anna’s delicate face showed no emotion and no panic, her tone calm.
“What do you mean? Are you saying that I’m lying? What reason do I have to lie? Anna! Laura is already seriously injured…
“You have no evidence, but I have proof that I didn’t touch her,” Anna said coldly, raising an eyebrow as she watched Laura’s face turn pale and her breathing become rapid.
“I was prepared before coming here because I was afraid you would try something sneaky. So, I brought a voice recorder and a hidden camera,” Anna continued, carefully observing Laura’s face.
After hearing her words, Laura’s face relaxed, indicating that they were indeed prepared.
“Hmph, since you claim to have evidence, show it to us,” Leah said arrogantly, unable to hide her expression.
Anna walked to the table. Her hidden camera was connected to her phone, as was the voice recorder. She took out her phone and played both the audio and video simultaneously.
Leah couldn’t believe her eyes as she looked at Laura!
This… how is this possible!?
They had already blocked all signals and interfered with all electronic devices to prevent Anna from capturing any
content!
But now… what is happening!
“See, at first, when they said they wanted to apologize to me, I accepted. But they were being too evasive, so I wanted

to leave,” Anna calmly and rationally explained, unaffected by any emotions. “But then, I didn’t expect Laura to come at me with a bottle of alcohol. They were the ones who told me that Laura was pregnant, and the rest is what you all witnessed.”
Anna zoomed in on the footage.
Leah rushed forward, pointing angrily at Anna and snatching the phone away. “You deceitful woman! Doing such things and now trying to falsify evidence here!”
“Falsify evidence?” Anna laughed mockingly. “Leah, are you so afraid to see who actually tripped Laura that you have to accuse me of falsifying evidence? Falsifying evidence takes time. Even if I wanted to manipulate the video, it would require time.”
“So, may I ask, which eye of yours saw me falsifying evidence?”
Anna’s expression was proud, her delicate face filled with mockery. “Oh, I forgot to tell you, my camera and recorder are both hidden and have undergone special processing-”
“In any situation, they can capture and record normally.”
So, their little tricks were simply foolish in her eyes!
Upon hearing this, Leah found it difficult to breathe, panic and despair evident in her eyes. She didn’t want anyone present to see her expression, so she instinctively looked towards Laura.
“Ah, Dominic, I… I suddenly feel so uncomfortable in my stomach. Please, take me to the hospital!” Laura bit her lip lightly, trembling. “I… I feel really unwell. Is our baby going to be okay?”
“I’ll take you to the hospital,” Dominic said, picking up Laura, surprised by her sudden pain.
But just as he took a few steps forward, Arthur stopped him.
“Uncle, I must take Laura for a check–up now!”
Dominic said anxiously.
“Perfect timing, I made an appointment with Julian. He’s an all–rounder and will be here soon.”
