Chapter 22: What’s the Relationship?
Julian?
Anna looked towards Arthur’s direction. He knew Julian? And he made an appointment with Julian here?
“Dr. Fletcher?” Dominic’s eyes gleamed.
“Yes, he’ll be here soon.” Arthur lightly raised his wrist to check his watch, his sharp face showing a hint of coolness.
“Dominic, it hurts so much. I can’t wait any longer. I’m feeling so uncomfortable…” Laura’s breathing became more rapid, as if she would faint in the next second.
But before she could finish her sentence, Julian had already walked in from the door.
“Dr. Fletcher, please help me check on my fiancee. How is she? Will there be any problems with the baby in her belly?” Dominic anxiously asked, his brows furrowed.
Meanwhile, Leah wanted to take advantage of the chaos and take Anna’s phone and leave, but Anna noticed and grabbed Leah’s hand.
Leaning over, she said. “You want to leave? It’s not that easy. I still have unfinished business with you.”
“Anna, let go of me. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I just want to go see Laura! She… she was harmed by you!” Leah didn’t dare to look at Anna, she just wanted to escape from this place as soon as possible!
She wanted to delete the video!
Otherwise, everyone would know that she was the one who tripped Laura!
If she became the target of everyone’s anger, she would be finished!
“You’re still telling lies now? Leah, if you have the guts, give me back the phone and let everyone see who tripped her.” Anna’s enchanting eyes narrowed, “Are you feeling guilty, so you don’t want everyone to see? You don’t want everyone to know the truth? You intentionally tripped Laura and now you’re trying to frame me!”
“Anna, you…. stop making baseless accusations. I didn’t, I didn’t!” Leah covered her ears, not wanting to listen at all.
Anna looked at her acting, whether there was evidence or not would soon be revealed.
And right in front of them, Laura’s examination was still ongoing.
“I’ve done a simple examination and didn’t find any major issues, but considering Miss Jenkins’s intense reaction, it’s still better to go to the hospital for a check–up. I have a car and we can go for the examination immediately.” Julian looked at Laura suspiciously, taking into account what Anna had said earlier.
Naturally, he already understood what was going on in his heart.
Anna looked at Leah and got into Arthur’s car, heading to the city court and the hospital where Julian worked.

“I don’t want a male doctor to examine me, and I don’t want a doctor arranged by a male doctor! I want my own doctor, Dominic, I want Leah to accompany me inside!”
Laura was in a difficult position. She didn’t expect Anna to be so slick!
Having an undisturbed electronic device was impossible!
So she had to play her part well! Only then could this matter be resolved quickly! She couldn’t let it drag on any
longer!
“Okay, okay, I promise you everything, but Laura, we can’t call a doctor right now. Can we at least go for the examination?” Dominic held her hand tightly.
“No, I don’t want to. Dominic, I beg you, please promise me. I just want Leah to accompany me inside. My attending doctor isn’t here, I absolutely cannot let anyone touch my child!”
Laura covered her belly with both hands and turned to look at Leah. “Leah, come over quickly and wait inside with me for my attending doctor.”
Anna’s expression turned cold.
She was already used to Laura’s tactics, always finding countless ways to delay and scheme, and then resorting to manipulation and tricks.
Anna had experienced all of this, and now she had no fear whatsoever.
She wanted to slowly erode the trust between them, step by step.
Only when driven by self–interest would people be swayed.
Thinking of this, she held Julian’s hand and interrupted him as he was about to speak. “Dr. Fletcher, since Miss Jenkins wants her attending doctor to come, let’s not stop her. She must be confident about her unborn child.”
“But…”
Anna smiled and curled her lips. “Miss Parker can go in, but she must leave my phone behind.”
“Why should I leave it behind…”
“Because it’s my phone. Do I need to call the police in order to get my phone back? Is that how forceful and domineering you all are?” Anna’s attitude was firm.
Leah pursed her lips and hesitated for a long time before taking a deep breath. “Fine, I’ll give it back to you!”
But as she handed it over, her hand suddenly trembled and the phone fell to the ground with a crack, the screen shattered.
“Oh dear, it was an accident. I didn’t mean to. Anna, you too, why didn’t you catch it!” Leah raised an eyebrow and turned to walk inside to accompany Laura.

Not even Dominic could go in and accompany Laura.
Obviously, Laura had something to say to Leal.
“Dr. Fletcher, please help me extract the data from my phone. These data are very important to me. They can prove my innocence and there’s also evidence of someone trying to murder me.”
Anna spoke casually.
Looking at her indifferent face, Dominic suddenly realized that he knew even less about this woman.
She remained calm and composed in the face of any sudden event. How many things had she experienced?
Most importantly, a scene flashed through Dominic’s mind–the way Anna naturally and skillfully held Julian’s hand just now
What exactly was their relationship?
“Anna, will you ever stop? What did my Laura do to offend you that you treat her like this?!”
Dominic’s eyes turned red as he walked forward, “You’re already dead, why did you come back? She finally has my child…”
“Mr. Reynolds, if you easily accuse me like this, I can sue you for defamation.”
Anna sneered, “Instead of accusing me here, why don’t you go and accompany your fiancée, see if there’s anything wrong with the child in her womb.”
“You-”
“Dominic, Miss Jenkins is right. Your fiancée is experiencing complications with her pregnancy. You should go in and accompany her.”
Arthur, who had been silent all this time, finally spoke coldly, his thin lips tightly pressed together. He seemed very displeased with Dominic’s attitude towards Anna.
Anna sat quietly in the corridor, her slender legs crossed, not even willing to look at Dominic.
Meanwhile, Arthur went to Julian’s office.
He leaned against the white wall, his tall figure becoming even more captivating. His deep eyes stared at Julian. “Julian, don’t you think you should explain to me the relationship between you and Miss Jenkins?”
Julian’s hand, which was in the process of recovering the data, trembled slightly. He hadn’t expected Arthur to ask this question.
