Chapter 107
In the Queen’s worried gaze, Nyx didn’t get angry. Instead, she comforted Aurelius, gently touching his arm, and handed him the little ball. As soon as the little ball was in Aurelius’s hands, the three tigers immediately lost interest, their enthusiasm fading.
“Sorry, this is a gift for Aurelius,” Nyx smiled apologetically at then.
Though it was just a cheap little ball, it might seem a bit petty, but she had a personal motive with Aurelius. No matter what, she didn’t want to see the little cat look hurt or dejected.
Aurelius remained calm on the outside but secretly felt a surge of joy inside. Growing up, he was always told to be tolerant and considerate, especially towards his younger brothers, always trying to do his best to please his parents.
But now, his beloved female was standing firmly by his side. Even in something as trivial as this, she was willing to protect him and care about his feelings.
Nyx held Aurelius’s hand. As she held his hand, she noticed a burn mark on Aurelius’s palm and frowned.
“Nyx, if you blow on it, it won’t hurt,” Aurelius didn’t hesitate to show weakness in front of Nyx, hoping she would feel even more sympathy for him.
‘Blow on it?‘ The Queen couldn’t believe it. She was about to stop him and have Aurelius apologize for this unreasonable request, but she watched in shock as Nyx actually pampered him carefully blowing on his wound. She was left speechless.
Coming to her senses, she sighed and decided to give up on helping the other princes get close to Nyx. None of them had any hope. She hoped Aurelius would do a better job and remain favored.
The Queen made up her mind and decided to urge her partners to work harder, easing Aurelius‘ burden. Ideally, they’d let him take a break, allowing him more time to spend with Nyx and build their relationship.
With the matron’s personal encouragement, the Emperor and several dukes tightened up and took over the work. By the next day, Aurelius had time off, sending himself over to Nyx.
Early in the morning, Nyx was unwrapping the gifts sent by the females after receiving their handkerchiefs when, unexpectedly, she found a small white cat. Surprised and delighted, she jumped in shock.
The little white cat jumped out of the box, shook its head, fluffed its fur, and immediately noticed a special bottle of perfume in Nyx’s gifts. It squinted its eyes and stared intently at it.
‘A male canine version?‘ Aurelius sharpened its claws, clearly unhappy.
Unnoticed, it lifted its paw and pushed the perfume into the corner, secretly adding the same catnip–scented perfume to its shopping list to buy for Nyx later.
After doing the mischievous deed, the little white cat put on an innocent face, flipped onto its fluffy belly, and rubbed its head repeatedly in Nyx’s palm, using all its charm to entice Nyx
Nyx didn’t even realize what the little scheming cat had done. She was so charmed that her face turned red, unable to resist kissing the soft little face of the cat, which responded with á meow.
Turning her head, she found her three guardians glaring at the mischievous Aurelius, clearly displeased.
Nyx sighed and quickly leaned over and gave each guardian two kisses on the cheek. Though it was only on their cheeks, the males were fully satisfied. Felix and Zayne, both having received a kiss, happily left for work.
Nyx played with the little white cat for a while longer before reluctantly preparing to leave for the Supervision Office.

However, Aurelius didn’t leave and return to the Palace as she had expected.
The little white cat transformed back into the well–dressed Crown Prince, gently taking her hand. “I’ll go with you.”

Aurelius’s presence at the Supervision Office immediately drew numerous curious glances, both overt and covert. Aurelius was well accustomed to being watched, tightly holding Nyx’s hand, calmly accepting the attention from all directions.
As they entered the Supervision Office, he suddenly felt an exceptionally heated gaze on Nyx and immediately looked around cautiously.
“Kai?” Nyx also saw the green–eyed male waiting for her, surprised. After a day and night, Kai’s eyes were bloodshot, but upon seeing Nyx, he immediately perked up.
He didn’t have time to greet Aurelius behind Nyx. His gaze was fixed on Nyx, and he knelt on one knee, his voice hoarse. “Please, Mental Soothing for me.”
Nyx’s eyes lit up, and she nodded quickly. Although she didn’t know why Kai had suddenly changed his mind, this was obviously a good thing.
Kai’s Loss of Control Index had reached a terrifying 97, and she couldn’t bear to watch a leopard, one she had shared so many experiences with, die. She had already prepared to force him into Mental Soothing. Now that he had willingly agreed, that was even better.
“You change into beast form first,” Nyx eagerly urged.
Compared to Kai’s human form, Nyx was much more familiar with his beast form as a leopard. When the familiar leopard appeared before her, she instinctively waved her hand in front of him.
Every time she visited the leopard, she would wave to attract his attention, calming him from his agitation. It was hard to break the habit, but when she realized the leopard didn’t rush toward her like usual, she noticed that today, he was rational.
She smiled awkwardly at Kai and released her Soul Form. The leopard obediently lay on the ground, eyes fixed on Nyx without blinking.
All his complicated and conflicted emotions seemed to vanish in that moment. He only wanted to keep looking at Nyx, with no other thoughts. He didn’t want to avoid her anymore; he longed to be close to her.
Even if Nyx was slow, she felt that intense gaze, but didn’t think too much about it. After all, during this time, Kai had always kept his distance from her, and he had clearly expressed that he didn’t like her and couldn’t have any feelings for her.
After finishing the Mental Soothing, she didn’t say anything more to Kai, merely giving a light nod before turning and leaving, ready to attend to the other males.
Kai instinctively and silently followed a few steps but was stopped by the staff.
“It’s time for your physical examination, Lord Kai.”
After going through the examination process, Kai regained his calm thinking ability, talked with the head of the Supervision Office for a while, and then donated a large sum of starcoins to the office, enough to give the staff a generous bonus for several years.
“Sorry for causing you all so much trouble during this time,” he said.
The head of the Supervision Office smiled broadly, “No trouble, no trouble.
Compared to such a large donation, that little bit of trouble was nothing at all. Besides, taking in an out–of–control male was part of the Supervision Office’s responsibilities, and Kai should actually be more thankful to Nyx.
