Chapter 131
Unable to steady herself, Nyx stumbled and fell directly onto Kai again, pressing even closer this time.
Beneath her, Kai immediately held his breath before exhaling heavily.
“Don’t move, Nyx.” Kai’s voice was hoarse, tinged with a trace of pain, as veins bulged on his arms.

Though they had spent plenty of time together, and he had taken every opportunity to get close to Nyx, it had always been in his beast form. The sensations were entirely different from being in human form.
If he were in his leopard form, he could carry Nyx on his back with ease, walking around effortlessly.
But right now, his mind was running wild, thoughts drifting in dangerous directions, and his body was reacting uncontrollably.
Kai lowered himself even further, not daring to move, lest Nyx would notice his predicament.
“What’s wrong? Where does it hurt?” Nyx grabbed his arms, trying to help him up.
She thought, ‘Did I crush him?”
She tugged at Kai for a long time, but he wouldn’t budge. He also stammered, unwilling to say what was wrong
Growing anxious, Nyx ran out of the gym to find the other males in the house for help.
“Don’t panic, Nyx. What happened?” asked Zayne.
Upon hearing that Kai was in trouble, Zayne, the household’s doctor and caretaker, rushed to the gym as fast as he could
By then, Kai had already stood up, wrapping a jacket around his waist in an attempt to cover himself. His restless energy and disheveled state had yet to subside.
It was obvious what had happened.
Zayne clenched his fists tightly. Taking a deep breath, he forced himself to maintain a gentle tone and coaxed Nyx, “He’s fine, see? He’s standing perfectly steady. I’ll give him a check–up. You wait outside for a bit.”
Once Nyx was out of sight, Zayne’s warm expression instantly turned ice–cold as he stared at Kai. “So? Want me to give you a shot of S3 Tranquilizer?”
S3 Tranquilizer was a sedative with excellent effects but severe side effects–it temporarily erased sexual desire. Its effect could last anywhere from a month to two years.
“No need,” Kai refused.
He opted for a cold shower instead. The icy water pounded against his body, yet his heavy breathing was unable to calm
Just thinking about Nyx made the excitement resurface. It took him a long time to finally suppress it.
Back at the dining table, Nyx sat in a daze. After spacing out for a while, her sluggish brain finally caught up, and she belatedly realized what had actually happened to Kai.
Just then, the door creaked open, and Kai stepped out of the room, having rinsed himself with cold water.
“Kai,” Nyx immediately called out to him.
The already tense Kai stiffened even more, thinking Nyx had come to her senses and was about to settle the score with him.

Chapter 131
This time, he had no excuse–he couldn’t blame the catnip perfume anymore. He was simply a lust–driven, shameless male.
Nyx hadn’t even done anything to him, yet he had gotten this excited. It was truly disgraceful.
Lowering his head, Kai walked over, waiting for his punishment.
He couldn’t stop his wild thoughts from spiraling–he even wondered if he should inject himself with some S3 Tranquilizer.
But Nyx interrupted his thoughts, pushing a plate toward him. “Here, I saved you a beef sandwich.”
Kai was stunned. He thought, ‘No disgust or avoidance? Instead, she has even saved a sandwich for me? Did she really understand what has just happened?‘
Gathering his courage, he lifted his gaze to study her. Seeing her flushed cheeks, he couldn’t help but ask, “You don’t find me repulsive?”
Males like him, with strong desires and poor self–control, were often seen as crude beasts by females–easily shunned.
Nyx froze, momentarily forgetting to act embarrassed. “What’s there to be repulsed about?”
A young, vigorous male getting excited when facing someone he likes–Isn’t that perfectly normal?‘ she thought.
“It just means you’re healthy and full of energy. That’s a good thing,” as she spoke, she stuffed a sandwich into Kai’s mouth. “Hurry up and eat. Don’t overthink it.”
Kai instinctively opened his mouth to accept the food.
It was just an ordinary beef sandwich, but since Nyx had deliberately saved it for him and even fed him by hand, it suddenly tasted extraordinary. More importantly, Nyx didn’t reject him.
In an instant, Kai’s mood soared. He devoured the entire plate of sandwiches, and then shifted into his beast form, circling Nyx excitedly. His tail stood high, and he kept nudging her with his head.
“Aren’t you going to work today?” Nyx rubbed his head.
The leopard shook his head. “Haven’t received any notice yet.”
He wasn’t a workaholic. As long as no one called him in, he would rather stay home and stick to Nyx’s side.
“But I’m heading out,” Nyx said, preparing to fulfill her promise to provide Mental Soothing for Seafarion.
Looking at the clingy leopard before her, she asked, “Do you want to come with me?”
The leopard didn’t hesitate to nod. No matter where Nyx was going, he was willing to follow her.
He radiated happiness, trailing behind her like a loyal puppy.
That was, until they arrived at Seafarion’s residence–where Kai’s cheerful expression vanished the moment he saw that familiar, detestable face.
He thought, ‘Nyx came here for this annoying Sea Race?‘
Seeing Kai, Seafarion clenched the armrest of his wheelchair. He thought, ‘Nyx has actually allowed this leopard to follow her so closely.
Their gazes met for a split second–instantly, sparks flew, as if blades were clashing.
Unbothered, Nyx retrieved a small box from her Space Button and handed it to Seafarion. “Here, this is for you.”

He opened the box, and upon seeing its contents, was momentarily stunned. He thought, ‘Are these my scales?”
“You could have just thrown them away. There was no need to keep them.” He had left those scales behind on purpose, hoping to catch Nyx’s attention. Now that he had achieved his goal, they were meaningless.
Nyx explained sheepishly, “They were just too beautiful. I would’ve felt guilty throwing them away.”
Seafarion’s eyes lit up instantly.
“Is this scale completely useless to you now?” Nyx sighed, feeling it was a pity.
“No.” Seafarion shook his head quickly. “It’s still useful.”
Just two days later, Nyx found out exactly what use the scale still had.

She stared in shock at the shimmering jewelry in front of her: A complete set of jewelry, all polished from Seafarion’s scales -so stunningly unique that any other gem paled in comparison.
Seafarion had spent a fortune, hiring top craftsmen to work overtime and handcraft it as quickly as possible–just to gift it to his beloved Nyx.
He looked at Nyx expectantly, hoping she would accept the gift.
But Nyx hesitated. She thought, ‘As beautiful as they are, they are, after all, the scales of a Male Beastman. Would wearing them be too intimate for me? Why would Seafarion give me such a gift?‘
Seafarion’s heart slowly sank. His fingers trembled slightly as they clutched his cloak.
In his moment of distraction, the cloak slipped, revealing a part of his tail where the scales were missing.
This time, Nyx was close enough to see it clearly.
“Don’t move yet.” She stopped Seafarion as he panicked and tried to cover up, and then crouched down to take a closer look.
His tail stiffened under her gaze, tense and rigid.
‘She saw it. She must think it’s ugly, Seafarion thought and closed his eyes in despair.
