Even though Zayne said that, the staff members still ran another test on a different machine. When the second result came out, they were finally convinced.
Under the intense gaze of everyone present, Nyx asked, “How long will it take for Felix to wake up?”
“About two hours,” someone quickly answered.
When they had left earlier, it had been drizzling outside. Now, before one o’clock in the afternoon, the rain had stopped, and the journey back was clear and smooth.

The sleeping lion didn’t react, just lying quietly beside her like a guardian angel.
In his presence, Nyx’s tense nerves began to relax, and she too felt drowsy.
After a moment of hesitation, she leaned against the lion and slowly closed her eyes.
She decided to sleep for a little while.
She didn’t know how long she had slept when a sharp alarm suddenly jolted Nyx awake.
She scrambled to her feet, her head thudding against something as solid as steel, causing her to cry out in pain.
It felt like a massive creature loomed above her.
Seeing her in pain, the behemoth immediately stepped back, lowering its head to examine her, its gaze settling on the red mark on her forehead and letting out a discontented growl.
