Chapter 77
Casia’s trembling gaze shifted slightly, and he nearly fainted.
‘Nyx, the SSS–level female, is actually here too? Did they hear everything I just said?‘ he wondered.
There was nothing more embarrassing than being caught speaking ill of others, especially when those people were ones he couldn’t afford to offend.
In the ensuing silence, Casia’s matron, the extravagantly dressed female, burst into mocking laughter. “Go on, Casia. How come you’ve stopped? You were just flattering yourself by dragging Marshal Lane into this.
“You should really take a good look at yourself. Boldly demanding a divorce, and I wouldn’t have bothered you. But you cheated!”
No matter the reason, a cheating male was bound to be condemned. The whispers and murmurs around him made Casia’s face burn with shame, wishing he could find a hole to crawl into
Felix spoke coldly. “Your false statements are defamation. I will sue you.”
Nyx couldn’t stand to hear Felix being slandered. She reached up, linked her arm with his, and patted him reassuringly, her support for him clear without words.

In an instant, Felix was swamped with envious glances from the crowd.
Casia, on the other hand, looked even more disheveled and pitiful, like a rat in the gutter.
His matron pressed her advantage. “I’ll sue you too, Casia. Just wait for the message from the Female Protection Association.”
Casia’s face turned pale, and he instinctively released his hold on the female in his arms. “Don’t do this. Think of the family’s reputation.”
Their marriage was a union arranged by their families, each with their own powerful backing. The elders had always been on good terms.
If not for the family pressure, Casia wouldn’t have married this matron with only D–level mental power. After the wedding, in order to get effective Mental Soothing, he had no choice but to cheat.
The female in his arms, named Wendy, glared at him fiercely, then turned her gaze even more venomously toward the opposing female.
This was getting annoying.
Originally, it wasn’t a big deal. Wendy just wanted to have some fun with Casia; she never intended to marry him.
A male was nothing special; she would have returned him once she grew tired of him. She never expected it to escalate into such a public scandal, tarnishing her reputation.
Fueled by anger, Wendy clenched her fists. ‘Since you embarrass me, I will definitely make you feel bad too!‘ she wondered.
Blinded by rage, she abruptly shook off Casia, took a few steps forward, and unleashed a mental attack on the female standing opposite her
The matron, with only D–level mental power, was utterly defenseless against an A–level mental attack.

In an instant, she felt as if her head had been struck by a heavy hammer. She staggered back a few steps and collapsed against the counter, sliding to the floor.
In just two seconds, the matron’s eyes became vacant, and blood began to flow from her nostrils.
What had started as a simple argument had quickly turned into tragedy.
The shop erupted into chaos.
“Oh my god!”
“Someone help her.”
“Where’s a doctor?”
“Where’s the medical pod?”
“The medical pod can’t treat mental damage. Get her to the hospital.”
Nyx watched in shock as the scene unfolded.
Ignoring Felix’s attempts to stop her, she quickly rushed forward and caught the injured female just as she was about to hit the ground.
The moment she touched the female, Nyx felt as if she was seeing a strange Sea of Consciousness.
It was once a well–ordered world, but now it was in turmoil, on the brink of destruction.
‘Is this the injured female’s Sea of Consciousness?‘ she wondered
There was no formed Soul Form in the Sea of Consciousness, only faint mental waves that were growing weaker by the second.
Darkness was surging in from all directions, about to engulf the entire world.
With no time to think, Nyx instinctively guided her mental body into the collapsing Sea of Consciousness.

The tender sapling, with its two soft leaves, seemed to act like a stabilizing force. As soon as it appeared, the world temporarily stabilized.
In the darkness, the sapling suddenly emitted a brilliant light, like a lighthouse, dispelling the fog–like shadows.
Nyx was astonished. It actually worked.
Seeing a glimmer of hope, she continued to channel her mental power.
The sapling shook and scattered countless light points, repairing the cracked world. Wherever it went, the cracks disappeared.
In the shop, more and more people gathered. With Felix standing guard, no one dared to approach. They could only watch Nyx from a distance with reverent eyes.
They couldn’t see what Nyx was doing, only that the legendary SSS–level female was tightly holding the injured female, emitting strong mental waves. The injured female’s complexion began to gradually improve.

The crowd couldn’t tear their eyes away.
The powerful mental waves spread outward, and the onlookers couldn’t help but immerse themselves in the sensation, feeling their minds and bodies purified.
Even as mere observers, they strangely felt a sense of peace as if they had experienced a Mental Soothing themselves.
Doctors, Female Protection Association staff, and Security Bureau employees rushed to the scene, but they didn’t dare to disturb.
The injured female’s condition was visibly improving.
Even emergency treatment at the hospital probably wouldn’t have such an immediate effect.
They held their breath and carefully recorded everything with their devices.
Second by second, the collapsing Sea of Consciousness was mostly repaired.”

The faint mental waves in the Sea of Consciousness returned to a relatively active frequency, swirling around the sapling as if it were extremely familiar.
The injured female’s features relaxed, the anger from the argument dissipated, and she became calm and peaceful. She closed her eyes, nestling against Nyx, her breathing steady.
Nyx let out a sigh of relief and stepped back.
As soon as she opened her eyes, she was met with a sea of onlookers. She looked bewildered. ‘When has so many people gathered?‘ she wondered.
She belatedly realized that she had been holding the injured female for too long, her arm numb and her waist aching. Nyx stumbled half a step and nearly fell forward.
The expected pain never came. Instead, she fell into the broad, warm embrace of a male.
Felix tightly held her, lifting her up and gently massaging her overused arm.
In that moment, there was a collective gasp from the crowd, as if amazed that Felix could show such a gentle side.
After a stunned pause, the medical staff rushed forward and lifted the injured female onto a stretcher.
An A–level female’s mental attack was undoubtedly catastrophic for a D–level female.
The offending female, Wendy, and the male named Casia had already been apprehended, awaiting interrogation and trial.
But no matter what punishment they received, the damage done to the poor female could never be undone.
As everyone knew, mental damage to a female was irreversible. Doctors could only treat surface symptoms but could not cure the underlying issue.
Even though the victim now seemed much better, she would likely remain in a coma for a long time and might suffer from lingering aftereffects.
The crowd sighed in lament.
Amidst the mournful sounds, before the stretcher could be carried away, the female on it suddenly opened her eyes.
