Since they were eating at home, Nyx didn’t need anyone serving her. She was used to everyone eating together. Bur Aurelius, unaware of her habits, immediately took it upon himself to serve her.

When Nyx wanted soup, Zayne would know and serve it to her without her having to ask
Aurelius watched quietly for a moment, then spoke, “You have an injury on your shoulder, it’s inconvenient; let me do it”
It was just a minor injury, and Zayne didn’t think it was inconvenient at all. But Nyx heard this and insisted that he not continue serving her, she even wanted to feed him instead.
Forced to sit back down, Zayne watched helplessly as Aurelius took his place. Aurelius’s learning ability was incredibly sharp

And just then, Aurelius took the opportunity to ask Nyx, “Would you come to the Palace tomorrow evening as my guest? My Father and Mother also really want to thank you in person.”
With the excuse of elders, Nyx couldn’t refuse. She was about to agree when she suddenly heard Zayne let out a low groan… Her attention instantly shifted, and she hurriedly looked at Zayne. “Zayne, what’s wrong? Is it your wound that’s hurting?” she asked anxiously.

Nyx didn’t notice the subtle hostility between them and thought Aurelius was just concerned about Zayne, assuming they got along quite well.
Dinner took forever. Only Nyx was focused on eating, while the few men exchanged barbs, hardly stopping their verbal sparring-
After dinner, as they saw Aurelius off, Nyx received a message from Xivar.
Xivar: [Lord Nyx, are you okay? Were you scared today?]
Xivar: [Can I come see you?]
Xivar: [I made some sweet water, drinking it will make you feel better. I’ll bring it over.]
Although the news of Nyx’s attack was under wraps, it couldn’t be hidden from someone like Rex, a high–ranking influential figure.
Not long after, the doorbell rang, and Xivar, along with his father, came to visit. Xivar brought Nyx the carefully brewed sweet water and expressed his concern.

Nyx nodded. Of course, the treatments must contine, but recently she wasn’t planning to go out. The females in need of treatment could come to the manor, and Felix would arrange a small building for her as a temporary studio.
Xivar was deeply moved. Nyx was so kind–hearted, and yet someone wanted to harm her.

Nyx smiled and, though she didn’t have high expectations, still encouraged him with a nod.
In the study, Rex and Felix sat across from each other. On the table, there was a pile of intelligence documents.
“Some people in the cabinet have been restless lately. Rex began. “With today’s attack on Lord Nyx, besides the Windsor family, someone else must be behind it. They might be among these people.”
