Just as they were talking, a deafening alarm suddenly rang through the entire Supervision Office.

Nyx was shocked as she listened to the report. That leopard had actually pretended to be hit by the injection gun and faked being unconscious. The staff thought the tranquilizer had worked and were about to move him, but he took the chance to escape. Such a smart leopard.

Nyx fell silent. It seemed that the leopard really held grudges–he was vengeful. Thankfully, no one had died.
But the staff weren’t optimistic. “After Lord Kai lost control, his temper became unpredictable. He’s a violent madman. If we don’t find him quickly, there will definitely be big problems”
Nyx turned to Theon, urging. “Theon, you should go help too.

“Yes, yes, the Supervision Office Director wiped the sweat from his forehead, shaking his head in despair, “If the leopard runs here to Lord Nyx, we’re in trouble.”
His words were like a prophecy. Before he could finish speaking, a pair of gleaming beastly eyes suddenly appeared from around a corner, staring fixedly in their direction.
It was a leopard. Before anyone could react, those beastly eyes rapidly closed the distance. The agile leopard stirred up a fierce wind as it charged towards them, the target being–Nyx.
Theon’s pupils constricted, and he immediately moved to shield Nyx. In an instant, he and the leopard were engaged in a fierce struggle. The sound of their bones and muscles clashing was so intense it was terrifying.
The frantic animal roars sent a jolt through Nyx’s nerves. She instinctively took a step back but quickly regained her composure and stepped forward, attempting to break up the fight.
“Step back, Nyx Theon shouted loudly.
But Nyx didn’t care. She stubbornly charged towards them. As Nyx approached, the leopard let out an excited roar, seemingly wanting to leave Theon and jump at her instead.
Theon couldn’t let that happen. He seized the leopard’s momentary lapse and slammed it harshly to the ground.
The leopard was enraged and roared.
It suddenly unleashed an uncontainable burst of strength, twisting and flipping Theon over. Then, it bared its vicious fangs and charged straight for Theon’s throat, intending to take out this annoying obstruction first.
“Theon!” Nyx cried out, ignoring the differences between male and female, and with both hands, she tightly hugged the mad leopard around the waist, preventing it from attacking Theon.
Nyx’s feeble strength couldn’t stop the rampaging male; instead, she was easily dragged and almost stumbled..
The director, who was standing nearby, instinctively closed his eyes, unable to watch the tragedy unfold. The staff rushed forward to intervene, but instead, they only made the leopard more furious.

The hesitation lasted only a second, but the arrival of the staff seemed to ignite the leopard’s anger further. It didn’t stop attack and charged forward again
Nyx lost her footing and stumbled a few steps, then tilted, falling to the ground. The strength disparity was enormous, and the leopard could have easily shrugged off this annoying little attachment.
But it seemed to intentionally slow down, lowering its body to offer Nyx a seat on its strong back. Nyx plopped down onto the leopard’s muscular back. Finally, it stopped.
She panted heavily, her hand on her chest, and looked down at the leopard, meeting its cold, unfeeling gaze. Nyx froze in fear–She had never seen such a gaze in any animal.
From childhood, whether wild or domesticated, animals had always been affectionate toward her. Even the fiercest would show gentleness in her presence.
But this leopard’s gaze held no warmth whatsoever. In the moment of shock, the leopard’s throat emitted a low growl, and it bared its teeth at her aggressively. Nyx quickly jumped off its back, ran several steps toward Theon.

Behind her, the leopard’s green eyes remained fixed on her retreating figure, showing clear dissatisfaction with her escape. A group of staff rushed forward, holding injection guns.
The leopard seemned to scoff, giving them a contemptuous glance before its gaze returned to Nyx. Its eyes tangible. Nyx clearly sensed its focus on her. It didn’t seem so indifferent.

She calmed herself slightly and walked back toward the leopard. This time, she didn’t meet its eyes but lowered her gaze to show her harmlessness. The effect was immediate.
From Nyx’s perspective, though, the others could see that as Nyx approached, the leopard’s eyes filled with unmasked interest. It eagerly scratched the ground a few times with its paws.
It seemed it could no longer hold back and walked toward Nyx, lowering its head to sniff her, her hair, neck, and waist.
Its tail, which had been hanging low, now stood upright, and the leopard’s nostrils flared as it became almost entranced. Nyx took the opportunity to release her Soul Form–a small sapling.
Without any physical contact, a faint glow emanated from the sapling, surrounding the leopard. The dark, ominous black mist around it gradually thinned.
The process was slow. The leopard, at times, swished its tail, crouched down, or spun in circles, shaking its head and wagging its tail to try to attract Nyx’s attention..
But Nyx remained focused, clearing the black mist. Although her gaze was on the leopard, she didn’t pay attention to its
every move.
She never reached out to pet the unfamiliar leopard. After a while, the leopard’s gaze grew more puzzled. Its green eyes blinked, then it suddenly lunged forward.
