Unlike the soft, soothing tone she used with others, she was no longer gentle with this leopard. Nyx thought she was being fierce, but her voice still had that soft quality to it.
The leopard’s gaze shifted again, showing a mixture of emotions. Obediently, it returned to her side but kept its distance, lying down in a submissive posture.
The leopard, now fully aware, finally became docile, and the efficiency of Mental Soothing increased significantly. Nyx let out a long breath. Feeling Nyx’s Mental Soothing, the leopard closed its eyes, its heart tumultuous.
“So this is an SS5–level female’s Mental Soothing? It doesn’t even require mating? he thought.
Nyx didn’t even touch him; they just sat facing each other in silence. Yet, he could clearly feel his chaotic soul being healed.
Is this the power of an SSS–level female? The leopard’s claws twitched.
Nyx nodded, signaling it was over, the staff rushed in, eagerly taking the leopard for a checkup. Last time, when Nyx gave Mental Soothing to Marshal Lane, it brought the Loss of Control Index down to 18, which shocked everyone at the Supervision Office.
This time, no one knew if the miracle could continue.
‘I’ll rest for a while, then soothe next male,” Nyx said, slumping in the chair, leaning on Theon, speaking to the Supervision
Office director.
The Supervision Office director nodded in understanding. “I’ll prepare something for you to eat.” After thinking for a moment, he added, “If you feel like your mental power is too drained, don’t continue, please don’t push yourself.”
After soothing the males, all females needed rest for several days. No female, except Nyx, intended to soothe two males in one day. The Supervision Office director trusted Nyx’s ability, but he couldn’t help feeling concerned.
Nyx smiled helplessly and sighed. The little sapling in the Sea of Consciousness was still lively, so she had some energy left. Mental Soothing wasn’t tiring for her; it was just the mental battle with the leopard that had drained her. This leopard was really hard to handle.
“You were much better than him,” Nyx couldn’t help teasing Theon.
