Everyone stared at Monty and Calliope in sheer disbelief. Their eyes were wide with incredulity.
Was this a dream? How could something this good possibly be happening? Not only was there no deduction on meal allowances, but they were actually getting better food?
The crowd looked at Calliope and Monty, their expressions still filled with deep skepticism. After all, Monty was known to be quite stingy. He wasn’t exactly the generous type, and what Calliope had just announced seemed almost too generous to be true.
“No, I’m not kidding,” Calliope assured them. “I’ve just ordered some food. Stick around for a bit, and it’ll be delivered soon. Consider it a little treat.”
“Wow, really?”
“You’re amazing, Ms. Jewell!”
“Thanks a million, Ms. Jewell!”
Slowly, the employees began to believe her.
After about twenty minutes, there was a stir at the entrance of the room. Everyone turned to look as a handsome man, dressed sharply in a suit and tie, walked in, followed by a line of equally dapper gentlemen, each holding two sleek black bags adorned with the Pearl Tiger Club’s emblem.
“Hey, isn’t that Franco?” Monty exclaimed in shock.
“No way, what did you order? Did you seriously order from the Pearl Tiger Club?”
Monty’s jaw dropped, his face a mask of disbelief as he gaped at Calliope.
The Pearl Tiger Club was exclusive; they never did delivery. To dine there, one needed to meet high standards, and yet, Calliope had managed to have their food delivered to the company for these employees?
His mind boggled at the extravagance, his lips twitching.
“Callie, don’t you think this is a bit over the top? They’re just regular employees. Are they really worthy of dishes that cost a few thousand?”
He had never even tasted it himself! Recalling their last meal together, where everything had been devoured by that wolf before he got a chance, Monty looked at the employees with deep envy.
“Franco, hand these out to everyone,” Calliope instructed Franco. “Make sure each person gets to enjoy it, no holding back!”
The employees were awestruck by the sight of Franco and his entourage of suited gentlemen.
What kind of luxury was this? Could they really deserve such treatment?
“Isn’t that the Pearl Tiger Club’s logo?”
“Oh my God, is this really food from the Pearl Tiger Club?”
“Yeah, I’m pretty sure that’s the manager of the Pearl Tiger Club!”
“Holy moly, that’s impressive. I thought Pearl Tiger Club doesn’t offer delivery service.”
“What connections does Ms. Jewell have? She seems quite close to that Franco.”
After giving the instruction to his people, Franco headed towards Calliope, who beckoned him over with a pat of the empty seat near her, signaling him to sit.
The employees‘ eyes were glued to the mouthwatering dishes while they couldn’t help but sneak peeks over at Calliope.

“My God, looks like Ms. Jewell knows Franco pretty well!”
“That’s the illustrious Pearl Tiger Club we are talking about here!”
“Impressive!”
“Franco’s so handsome!”
“Can we take photos?”
“Ms. Jewell, um, can I get a picture with Franco?” Someone excitedly approached Calliope.
Calliope chuckled. “You’ll have to ask Franco!”
“Sure,” Franco agreed, posing for a photo with the female employee.
A few more brave souls gathered the courage to request photos, and while Franco obliged, he politely declined sharing his contact information.
