With a swift shoulder throw, Alice sent Luke’s father sprawling onto the floor. The move was so fluid, Most people didn’t react until he landed, his face pale with pain. Chloe reacted first, rushing to his side.“Dad, are you alright?”
Luke’s father coughed and waved her off, but he clearly wasn’t okay. Chloe looked up.“Alice, how could you hit someone?!”

Chloe was speechless, focusing on winning Luke’s father’s favor. He was her only support.
Alice looked at Luke’s father on the floor. I’m not the child who would take a beating without fighting back.”

Jack recalled her mentioning the gym, but he hadn’t expected this.
Alice changed the subject. Should we have a lawyer deal with the Windham Corporation’s plagiarism?”

Garrett handed Alice a document. Take a look. Any requests?”
Alice glanced at the contract. “Partner?”
“Yes. After your impressive performance, big companies will be trying to poach you. I need to secure you first!”
Alice was surprised.
After reviewing the contract, she signed it. It was a good deal.
Garrett handed it to Jack. Let’s have a meeting.”
Alice saw Jack holding her contract, standing up to join them. He was coming too? Jack sat beside Garrett, clearly a high–ranking member.
