Chapter 70
Alice showed no reaction to Noah and Luke’s arrival. Her expression was calm. She looked at Daniel. “Let’s schedule a meeting later.”
Daniel nodded, turning to Luke. I’m not wrong. With your sister’s talent, I’d be showering her with attention. Who would fawn over a mediocre stepsister while suppressing a talented real sister? That’s foolish!”
Luke’s face turned livid. “You don’t understand anything!” He hadn’t suppressed Alice! He wanted her on the team for the finals! They’d
finals! They’d just had 3 minor disagreement.
After Daniel left, other coaches approached Alice, handing her cards. Luke was ignored, watching Alice surrounded by admirers. He thought: If Alice ignored them and didn’t join Blitzkrieg Team, he’d apologize and forget about her mocking him.
Alice collected a stack of cards, surprised by the number.
Noah approached after the coaches left, carefully observing Alice. She’d changed.
Alice looked at him. Thank you.
Luke stepped forward.“Alice, why did you hide it from me? Was it fun?”
Alice raised an eyebrow, noticing Luke’s discomfort. He felt guilty?
Her tone was calm. I planned to tell you after the exams, but what did you say in my room? Need a reminder?”
Her calm tone felt like a knife to Luke. He remembered his words; he was humiliated. His arrogance had backfired spectacularly.
His eyes were red.“Why didn’t you tell me then?”
I didn’t have to.”
path.“I’m
“Why not?” Luke blocked her path. I’m your brother! I thought our disagreements were minor. I – said the wrong things; you could
could have corrected me. Why didn’t you?”
If Alice had spoken up, things wouldn’t have escalated. She might not have gone to Shrimp Live.
Alice stepped back, creating distance. This cold indifference hurt Luke.
Jane said sarcastically, “Alice suffered because of Chloe! Now you’re experiencing the same thing, and you can’t handle it? Imagine how painful it’s been for her!”
Luke retorted, “That’s why I asked! If she’d spoken up, things wouldn’t have happened!”
Jane raised her voice. “So, it’s Alice’s fault?”
“Isn’t it?” Luke instinctively replied, then looked at Alice, feeling guilty.“We’re family! We should talk things out. You hid your identity and went to Shrimp Live to spite me!”
Alice raised an eyebrow. “If you want to think that, go ahead.” She hadn’t gone to Shrimp Live to spite him! She just didn’t want to be controlled by the Windhams.
Noah intervened.“Let’s calm down. Luke, what you did and said was hurtful. You should apologize!”
Luke said reluctantly, “I’ll apologize, but she can’t join Blitzkrieg Team or Shrimp Live!” He knew Alice had done this to spite him. He’d apologize, but she couldn’t do this.

Chapter 10
Noah breathed a sigh of relief. He went to Alice Alice, signing with another platform isn’t ideal; it’s complex. Green Fruit is the best choice. Don’t you think?
Alice’s gaze was steady.“I choose who I sign with.”
“But I’m worried. Luke feels remorseful. This won’t happen again. Don’t be angry anymore.” Alice smiled. ‘I wasn’t angry. They were the ones clinging to her.
She turned to leave.
Luke felt frustrated.“Noah, look at her attitude! I’m apologizing, and she still won’t forgive me?” Luke, you caused this. Apologize and get her forgiveness.”
Luke was silent. What more could he do? Alice had started this! Why wouldn’t she forgive him? He saw Alice surrounded by people, greeting them and taking pictures. She seemed like a completely different person. She’d changed so much.
Chloe watched, seething with jealousy. She’d dressed up for her grand debut, but Alice had stolen the spotlight. Looking at her wine glass, she had an idea. She approached Alice.
Chloe smiled. Alice, you’re here.”
Alice, noticing Chloe’s wine glass and that unsettling smile, knew this wouldn’t end well. This was a bad omen. Chloe was probably planning something.
Chloe, looking innocent, said to the people around.“Hello, everyone. I’m Chloe, Alice’s sister.” Daniel, Blitzkrieg Team’s coach, sneered.“You’re the one who replaced Alice and almost lost the revival match.”
Chloe’s smile faltered. She said, “I’m not as good as Alice at games, but she didn’t want to join the team. I’ll give up my spot if she returns.”
Alice smirked.“You don’t have to.” She didn’t want to see Chloe; she got some fruit. “Alice, wait.” Chloe approached, stepping on Alice’s dress and splashing wine on her.
