But later…
After walking out of the food street, Valerie turned around and took the last look at the bustling street.
Then, she went to the airport without looking back.
Valerie arrived at the airport at 7:30 in the evening.
While waiting at the lounge, she received a message from Terrence.
“Valerie, are you still at Rice University? I’ll go to you now.”
Valerie didn’t reply and instead blacklisted him completely.
Without receiving any response from Valerie for a long time, Terrence slightly narrowed his cold eyes.
He sent another message, but it didn’t go through. He was blocked.
Terrence furrowed his brows.
He got angry.
However, this was not the first time Valerie had blocked him.
“Mr. Crawford.” Esteban quietly approached behind Terrence.“Margaret has woken up. She is looking for you.” Terrence rubbed his forehead and said, “OK.”

He believed that Valerie would eventually unblock him.
So he didn’t take this matter to heart.
However, during this period, Terrence indeed neglected Valerie.
After this busy period, he would make it up to her.
At the airport.
Valerie got on the plane and put on an eye mask. Then, she had a good sleep.
When she arrived in Washington D.C., it was already 1 o’clock in the morning.
At the exit, Valerie saw her long–lost mother, Jazlynn, along with her second husband Landen Chavez, and their daughter Abbigail Chavez. “It’s so cold. Why did you buy such a late flight ticket?” Abbigail stomped her foot, very dissatisfied.
Valerie didn’t have much affection for her half–sister, and she silently got in the car.
In the car, Jazlynn held Valerie’s hand with great enthusiasm. It seemed that Jazlynn treated Valerie not as her daughter but as a guest.“Vallie, I’m so happy that you could figure it out. Although Terrence is good, he can’t compare to Ricky Murray.
“Ricky is the future CEO of the Murray Group. If you marry him, you will live a wealthy life.”
Valerie leaned against the car window and closed her eyes. Her tone remained flat. “In these seven years, although I never came back home, I still heard that three years ago, Ricky broke his leg and became disabled.”
