Chapter18
The car fell silent for a moment.
Jazlynn awkwardly spoke, “Vallie…”
“I’m willing to come back for the arranged marriage because I owe Abbigail. Once I replace her and marry Ricky, we will be even.”
The car became quieter.
The rest three people remained silent, only exchanging glances.
After arriving home, Valerie dragged her suitcase and went upstairs.
Jazlynn wanted to stop her, but it was already too late.
Jazlynn could only watch as Valerie pushed open the bedroom door and then stood there, stunned.
“Vallie, we gave your room to Abbigail because you never came back.”
Valerie stared at the pink room, her blood freezing in her veins.
“Does this house lack rooms? Why my room?”
Jazlynn didn’t know how to explain.
They indeed did this thing improperly, but they had already done it…
“Who knew you were so useless? We thought after all these years, you would have already married Terrence,” sneered Abbigail downstairs.“You’ve been chasing after him for seven years, but he weights a woman who just returned to the country over you. Valerie, you really pathetic!”
Valerie’s gaze darkened.
In the next instant…
Valerie stepped into the room, took the notebook from the table, and threw it toward Abbigail.
Abbigail was so scared that she threw herself into Landen’s arms and said, “Dad, you see? She is just a lunatic!”
“Be quiet.” Jazlynn signaled to Landen to take Abbigail away. When it became quiet again, Jazlynn apologetically said to Valerie, “Vallie, I have prepared a guest room for you. You can stay there tonight…”
Valerie didn’t wait for Jazlynn to finish speaking and left the villa with her suitcase.
She booked a seven–star hotel.
The hotel’s service was very good.
She had pick–up and drop–off service wherever she went.
More than an hour later, Valerie arrived at the hotel, took the room key, and went straight into the elevator.
In the meantime…
Theodore, who had just entered the hotel, stared at the disappearing figure in the elevator and was momentarily stunned.
