Chapter24
“Okay, Valerie replied straightforwardly.
This was somewhat unexpected for Ricky.
Compared to Terrence’s, Ricky’s demands were simply child’s play. Therefore, Valerie didn’t want to waste time arguing with Ricky.
Moreover, Valerie was not able to protect those antiques on her own. She needed Ricky’s help.
Time flew by, and it was already Wednesday.
Terrence sat in the SUV, listening to Theodore reporting the latest updates through the video call.
“Mr. Murray knows that you arrived in Washington D.C. tonight. He has arranged a hotel room for you. It is a presidential suite, on the top floor of the same hotel where I am staying.
“I have checked the room. Everything is arranged according to your preferences.”
“Okay,” Terrence absentmindedly responded.
Theodore had been Terrence’s assistant for several years.
Since he had no objection, there was no problem.
Theodore noticed that Terrence was distracted, but he didn’t ask anything.
Over the years, Theodore had learned what to ask and what not.
After hanging up the phone, Terrence finally realized why he felt uncomfortable from head to toe.
Today, he was on a business trip, but Valerie didn’t send him a safe journey message, nor did she provide the local weather forecast to him, n to mention preparing stomach medicine for him.
Terrence glanced at his watch.
The plane was scheduled to take off in four hours.
He had plenty of time.
“Go back to Foliage Villa.”
He suddenly gave orders, and the driver was confused for a moment before turning at the next intersection.
When the car arrived at Foliage Villa, Terrence pushed open the door and exited the SUV.
The servant, upon seeing Terrence return, immediately respectfully greeted, “Mr. Crawford.”
Terrence didn’t respond but strode quickly toward Valerie’s room.
He pushed open the door and did not see the familiar figure, his heart skipped a beat.
“Where is Valerie?” he asked, grabbing a passing servant.
The servant trembled.“Ms. Sch… Ms. Schwartz seems to have gone for several days… I… I don’t know where she went.”
