He took a deep breath and continued, “Valerie, I admit, this time I brought Margaret back to Houston without consulting you, it was my fault.
The arrogant Terrence apologized for the first time, his tone sounding unnatural.“But you don’t go too far!”
Valerie looked at Terrence and suddenly smiled. As she continued to smile, two glistening teardrops seeped from the corner of her eyes. “So, you think I showed up here because of you?”
She had left Houston for almost a week.
Terrence completely failed to notice it.
How ridiculous!
Valerie laughed heartily in her heart.
In the end, only endless sorrow remained.
She had truly wasted these seven years in vain.
As he looked at the tears in Valerie’s eyes, Terrence was somehow annoyed.
Moreover, there was panic in her eyes that something was being lost.

She spoke briskly, but her tone was firm.
Terrence’s heart skipped a beat.
He didn’t like Valerie, who was so aggressive now.
He preferred the gentle, non–confrontational Valerie of the past.
“Enough is enough. It was indeed my fault for not going to get the marriage license with you, but don’t y Valerie was stunned.

With all her strength she broke free at last from Terrence’s grasp, and then, without a backward glance, she was gone.
