At that moment, Terrence was in no mood to witness Ricky’s marriage.
But he thought Valerie must still be in Washington D.C. and couldn’t cause any trouble.
Terrence suppressed his annoyance and walked out of the room.
He took a few steps, turned around, and said to Theodore following him, “Call Valerie and tell her to come see me within an hour!”
Theodore was speechless.
Before the City Hall.
Valerie had waited for half an hour.
But she showed no trace of impatience.
Ricky gazed at the woman’s slender figure and murmured, “She does have a good temper.”
The driver in the front seat didn’t hear clearly and turned his head to ask, “Mr. Murray, what did you say?”
Ricky withdrew his gaze and said, “Nothing.”
He took out his phone.
The assistant’s message just popped in.
After an intersection, the car that picked up Terrence would arrive.
“Get out of the car.”
Hearing the order, the driver and the bodyguard who sat in the co–pilot got out of the car together and carried Ricky out of the car.
The commotion was so loud that even Valerie across the street noticed.
She furrowed her brows.
Valerie thought Ricky wouldn’t come.
The bodyguard pushed Ricky, crossed the traffic lights, and finally arrived before Valerie.
“Let’s go in.”
Valerie’s tone was light and cheerful, with no trace of angriness. On the contrary, she looked relieved.
Ricky tightened his grip on the armrest, and his eyes narrowed slightly.“Are you serious?”
Valerie raised an eyebrow, puzzled.
“Do you really want to break up with Terrence?”
Ricky hadn’t witnessed firsthand how humbly Valerie pursued Terrence.
But in the past few years, before his legs were broken, Abbigail often pestered him, talking most about her sister, who was a simp.
At first, Ricky doubted whether Abbigail was making it up.
But some facts were just too outrageous.
It was so outrageous that it didn’t seem made up at all.
So, from the moment Valerie said she wanted to marry him, Ricky never believed she would give up on Terrence.
