Chapter47
Terrence gave
him a cold look.
Malcolm fell silent in an instant.
Washington D.C.
After Valerie was discharged from the hospital, she went to Antique Restoration Center to report.
Davion felt sorry for the wound on her head and asked her to go home and rest for a few days. It would be fine to return to work after the recovered.
Valerie, however, insisted on going to work.
In order to be with Terrence, she almost gave up her hobby of cultural relic restoration.
Knowledge had been constantly updated and iterated.
She must work harder than others to catch
up with them.
She worked diligently and even missed meals. Seeing this, Davion had no choice but to give up persuading her.
After work, Valerie received a phone call.
“Excuse me, is that Valerie? There has been a problem with your company, and we need you to come back to Houston to assist with the investigation.”
Valerie hung up the phone immediately.
There was only one company left in Houston, Tearie Entertainment.
The company was doing well under the management of Roderick.
It was impossible for any problems to arise.
She thought it was a scam call.
She had received similar phone calls before.
Valerie, who didn’t take this matter to heart, walked lightly towards the apartment.
The place she rented was near the Antique Restoration Center.
The house had a bedroom and a living room.
And the monthly rent almost cost her salary.
Fortunately, she had savings. Or she wouldn’t be able to sustain her current job.
However, buying a house in Washington D.C. would be nothing but a wild dream.
Valerie had thought about taking back her father’s house.
However, the legal provisions stated that all of the father’s property belonged to Jazlynn.
When she got home, Valerie cooked herself pasta.
She was eating pasta while searching online for a big house to store her several cars of antiques. The houses in the suburbs were big and cheap, which were quite suitable for storing antiques. It was a big problem to store so many antiques.
