Valerie nodded slightly. Seeing Roderick’s reddened earlobes, he suddenly regretted coming here.
For the past seven years, she had focused all her attention on Terrence.
So she had no time to care about others.
“Goodnight.”
Valerie hurriedly closed the door, but her heart was beating uneasily.
It was not because she liked Roderick. She was just worried about how to gracefully reject Roderick if he confessed to her. She wanted to maintain the seven–year friendship they had.
Besides, she didn’t want to start a new relationship now.
Valerie sighed and headed towards the bathroom.

Roderick looked at the tightly closed door and silently made a vow in his heart.
He thought, “Tomorrow!
“Tomorrow morning! Anyway, I am going to confess my feelings to Valerie.
“Because it is likely to be my last chance.”
At night.
Valerie finished taking a shower and it was already past eleven o’clock.
She thought about it and decided to send a message to Davion, explaining the situation.
Davion did not sleep. After learning about the situation, he immediately made a phone call to comfort her and offered to give her a few more days off to handle things properly.
Valerie was very grateful.
Valerie put down her phone. Despite feeling exhausted, she still checked Tearie Entertainment’s financial statements from the past few years. Roderick was in charge of Tearie Entertainment.
Valerie trusted him very much.
She felt that it was impossible for him to commit any illegal activities.
There must have been a misunderstanding.

Valerie yawned and was about to continue reading when suddenly a loud and rough knocking sound came from outside.
In the silent late night, it was like muffled thunder.
Valerie was startled.
“Who?”
She asked cautiously.
There was no sound outside the door.
Valerie hesitated and arrived at the door. Looking through the peephole, she didn’t see any figures.
