Malcolm shook his head helplessly and left the hospital.

Seeing the car parked at the entrance, Valerie was a little surprised.
Last night, Terrence had a stomach flare–up and was taken to the hospital by Malcolm. She had heard everything from inside her bedroom.
Based on past experience, she thought Terrence should have stayed in the hospital for at least three days.
She thought that tonight, Terrence would stand her up again.

When they arrived at their destination, both got out of the car.
Valerie walked behind Terrence, keeping a distance of nearly 10 feet.
To outsiders, they did not look like they even knew each other.
Terrence’s brows furrowed tightly.
“Valerie!” He suddenly stopped in his tracks.
Valerie also stopped.
She looked at him with innocent eyes.
Terrence’s stomach had not fully recovered. He gritted his teeth and endured the pain.“Am I some kind of monster? Why are you keeping so much distance from me?“.
Valerie smiled innocently, “I just don’t want others to misunderstand our relationship as boyfriend and girlfriend, and it wouldn’t be good for Ms. Levine either.”
She looked so considerate, but instead of appreciating it, Terrence became extremely angry and laughed sarcastically, “Fine! Valerie!”
