Valerie looked at the restaurant behind her and said, “Let’s go in.”
“OK.”
Kent followed Valerie into the restaurant, without any hesitation.
After they were seated and ordered, Kent went straight to the point, “Valerie, please tell me specifically. What is the
situation?”
He was easy–going and reminded Valerie of her younger self,
Back then, she, just like Kent, was energetic and passionate about everything
Even during the three years she pursued Terrence, she persevered despite repeated rejections.
So when that night’s drunken confession succeeded, she always felt as if it were a dream. It was only when Terrence returned from abroad and did not deny their relationship that she finally felt at ease.
She had never expected that the four years with Terrence would be the period that made her sad the most in her
life.
She had a similar feeling on the day of her father’s funeral when she saw Landen and Abbigail.
Valerie withdrew her gaze and briefly revealed the incident of Tearie Entertainment being inexplicably reported. Kent listened and furrowed his elegant brows, asking, “Are you saying that the company’s accounts are no problem and that the whistleblower is malicious?”
“Yes!”
Kent took out a card.“Okay, I see. Here’s my bank card. Can you pay a deposit of 170 dollars first?”
Valerie found his cautious attitude quite amusing and said, “No problem.”
She took out her phone and transferred the money to Kent.
Hearing the sound of the notification, Valerie smiled and said, “I’ll leave this matter to you.”
“Don’t worry. I promise you will be satisfied.” Kent said, patting his chest. The bright smile on his face reminded Valerie of herself again.
Her face softened involuntarily.
