She was completely unaware that there was a parked Maybach in the street outside the restaurant.

The morning sunlight refracted a beautiful halo on the glass and fell upon Valerie’s face.
Her features were beautiful and graceful. With a layer of golden light covering her face, she looked like a fairy not tainted by the world. Especially when she smiled, the curve of her raised eyebrows and eyes seemed like a thin rope tugging at Terrence’s heart,
He wondered, “How long has it been since Valerie smiled in front of me?”
His gloomy eyes fell on the man sitting across from Valerie.
His gaze grew more sinister as he perceived that the man was a mere callow youth.
Valerie’s taste was getting worse.
How could she fall for such a person?
“Drive!” he said coldly.
The driver in the front row felt the low pressure emanating from Terrence. He drove cautiously, trying to reduce
his own presence.
Valerie and Kent went their separate ways after their meal.
Valerie, who had got into the car, did not want to go straight back to Foliage Villa. She asked the driver to drive around and only returned home at ten o’clock at night.
She didn’t think Terrence would be home at this time. To her surprise, he was sitting in the living room and seemed to be waiting for her return.
The scene reminded Valerie of countless times in the past when she, too, had sat on the sofa waiting for
Terrence’s return.
But often, by the next morning, Terrence still hadn’t returned.
And as a result, she would catch a cold because she had not covered herself with a blanket the previous night.
