To her surprise, Terrence did not get angry. Instead, he simply nodded.
Did he agree not to her decline?
Valerie somewhat doubted her guess. She tried to figure out Terrence’s thoughts from his face.
But Terrence remained expressionless, showing no signs.
Valerie averted her gaze and gave up her desire to know.
She was happy as long as Terrence didn’t take her to the celebration. She didn’t care why he suddenly changed his
mind.
Valerie went upstairs and returned to her room.
She took out the medicine box and looked at the neatly arranged pills inside, feeling amused.
These pills were bought by her specifically for Terrence before they got married.
Terrence’s stomachache couldn’t be cured by any other medicine.
Only this kind of medicine was effective.
But it was a foreign brand.
She had to pull a lot of strings to buy the medicine back.
Terrence didn’t notice it.

Valerie took out a pill and swallowed it.

field.
