Hailey smiled as she gently planted an idea in Holly’s mind. “Why would he be angry? You’ve worked so hard to lose weight for him. He should be touched. Besides, he likes you so much, he’ll definitely understand.”
“But he still has to tutor me. My grades are terrible. If I don’t keep up with tutoring, I’ll fall behind when school starts.” Holly
was torn.
“I can tutor you too,” Hailey offered. “Are you in your third year of high school?”
Holly replied, “Sophomore year.”
Hailey grinned. “That’s perfect. I’m a senior.”
“My boyfriend is a senior too!” Holly’s face lit up with excitement. “What a coincidence!”
Hailey couldn’t help but sigh inwardly. ‘What a naive girl. No wonder she had become Mateo’s target.
They didn’t continue the topic thereafter, and Holly called Noah.
Maybe because Hailey was there, Holly seemed a little shy and stepped into a separate room to make the call.
Hailey pulled out her phone and sent a message. [I need a favor.]
The recipient was Beatrix.
Ever since Hailey had put her in her place, Beatrix had been behaving herself at school. In fact, she was downright terrified of Hailey and practically followed her orders without question.
Beatrix’s hands trembled as she typed: [Hailey, what do you need?]
Hailey called her directly.
Beatrix was startled and nearly dropped her phone. She quickly answered and said in a shaky voice, “H–H–Hailey, what can I do for you? You even took the trouble to call me yourself…”
Hailey could not help but find it funny. “Am I that scary?”
“N–No, not at all,” Beatrix stammered. “How can I help you?”
“You know Mateo Stafford, right?” asked Hailey.
Beatrix scoffed. “Of course. That scumbag.”
Hailey smirked. “He’s toying with my friend’s feelings. I need to find a way to break them up, and for that, I’ll need some proof.”
Beatrix hesitated for a few seconds. “You mean… you want me to seduce him and get proof?”
Hailey said, “You catch on quick.”
“You’re basically asking me to be the other woman,” Beatrix muttered, worried about her own reputation.
Hailey let out a soft laugh and said, “Be smart about it. Ever heard of ‘playing the victim“?”
Beatrix understood what she meant immediately.
After hanging up, Holly stepped out of the room. She looked happy and was all smiles.

Chapter 101
“Something good happened?” asked Hailey.
Holly nodded, blushing. “Hailey, I need to go out for a bit.”
Hailey asked again, “Where to?”
“The bank. I need to get some money for my boyfriend,” replied Holly.
Hailey’s smile faded slightly as she said, “Is he borrowing money from you?”
The Hart family was wealthy, and Holly had grown up in luxury and had no real concept of money, so she never saw spending on others as a big deal.
Besides, Mateo was her boyfriend. She believed that as long as they truly loved each other, money didn’t matter. If he needed help, she wouldn’t say no.
Holly nodded, looking a little downcast. “My boyfriend’s family isn’t well–off, and his mom is in the hospital. He’s still a student, and he has to prepare for the SAT next year. As his girlfriend, I should help him however I can.”
Hailey took a deep breath and asked, “Does he ask you for money often?”

Holly quickly shook her head. “No, no, I give it to him willingly. He works so hard. He has to juggle several part–time jobs just to support his family. I feel bad for him.”
Hailey just forced a smile and said, “Alright, you go ahead. I’m going back to tidy up my room.”
Holly nodded and left.
As soon as Hailey got back to her room, she received a message from Beatrix. [Hailey, I’m at the bar right now. I just saw Mateo.]
Hailey replied: [Take it slow. Don’t rush.]
Beatrix: [Got it, Hailey. This is my specialty.]
She wasn’t great at everything, but playing with a greedy, two–faced man was a piece of cake.
Beatrix was at the bar with her friends, dressed provocatively and unfazed by the cold.
She was strikingly beautiful, with great skin and captivating eyes. She glanced at one of her friends and gave her a meaningful look.
Her friend raised an eyebrow in understanding, then stumbled toward the private room Mateo had just entered, pretending to be drunk.
The room was full of men, none of whom were the type to let a drunk woman slip through their fingers.
About ten minutes later, Beatrix grabbed a bottle of alcohol and barged into the room.
She had been drinking herself, so she reeked of alcohol.
“Cindy!” Beatrix stumbled slightly as she saw her friend being held by several men. Anger surged within her, and she rushed over. “You jerks, let go of my friend!”
“Oh, another pretty girl has joined us,” one of the men smirked and grabbed Beatrix’s wrist, his fingers running over her
arm.
Beatrix frowned, slapped his hand away, and said coldly, ‘Get lost. Don’t touch me with your filthy hands.”

Chapter 101
She helped Cindy up and tried to leave, but the men blocked their way.
“Come on, you’re already here. Let’s get to know each other. We’re all here to have fun,” one of them said with a grin.
“Yeah, let’s have some drinks, sing some songs, and who knows, maybe we’ll hit it off,” another chimed in.

They were all drunk with no sense of restraint and could tell that Beatrix was a regular too, so they figured she wouldn’t put up much of a fight.
Beatrix’s eyes scanned the room for a way out, and then they lit up as she spotted Mateo in the corner. “Mateo!” she called
out.
Mateo was stunned for a moment and looked at Beatrix.
Beatrix quickly pointed at him and said, “He’s my classmate.”
Mateo recognized her, of course.
He always kept up the image of a well–mannered gentleman, presenting himself impeccably and disguising his true self well -especially since he and Beatrix attended the same school.
Now that she was asking for help, he had no choice but to step in.
Mateo moved forward, shielding Beatrix and Sasha behind him. “She’s my classmate. Don’t give her a hard time.”
Since Mateo was the one footing the bill, the men could only back off and reluctantly returned to their seats.
Mateo gave Beatrix a gentle smile and said, “Let me bring you two out.”
Beatrix looked at him gratefully.
Once they were out of the room, Beatrix let out a huge sigh of relief. “Thank you so don’t think I’d have made it out of that room.”

Mateo said with concern, “Girls shouldn’t be coming to places like this alone. It’s too dangerous.”
Beatrix explained, “I know. It was just a little get–together with some friends, but then my friend got drunk and wandered

Mateo nodded and, as always, played the perfect gentleman. “Let me take you both home, Beatrix.”
