Chapter 44.
Jeanie was furious and yelled, “Are you messing with me?
Hailey smiled and said, “Miss Gibbs, you misunderstood. How could you say I was messing with you? You willingly gave me the money. I raised the price, and you still agreed. I never said that just because you paid, you could leave here safely?
“You have gone too far! Jeanie spat, trembling with anger. She was on the verge of tears–never in her life had the suffered such humiliation.
Hailey’s gaze turned icy. She planted a foot on the sofa, blocking Jeanie in.
The lighting in the private room was dim. The girl wore a camel–colored coat. It had rained earlier that day, and the city’s temperature had dropped, so she deliberately put on a coat before leaving home.
Her long black hair was casually tied up. Though she had the face of an angel, her aura was undeniably intimidating
Her eyes were as cold as ice, staring at Jeanie as if she were already a dead person.
She stated coldly, “Miss Gibbs, I will give you one last chance. However you treated my sister, do the same to yourself now. If you do not, I will do it for you.” Pausing for a moment, she sneered, “If I have to do it myself, I cannot guarantee that your pretty little face will remain intact. After all, my strength is considerable–I might not know how to hold back…
As soon as the words left her mouth, Jeanie raised her hand and slapped herself hard across the face. A red mark instantly bloomed on her delicate check.
Hailey raised an eyebrow and snickered. “Not bad. Keep going.”
Jeanie gritted her teeth in resentment, but she had no other choice.
After finishing, she grabbed the bottle of liquor from the table and began to drink.
The whiskey had a high alcohol content. After half a bottle, Jeanie was already struggling.
If she finished the entire thing, she would end up in the hospital for sure.
“I only forced her to drink one bottle!” Jeanie protested.
Hailey raised an eyebrow and replied, “Then you should drink two.”
Jeanie did not dare to argue, but she finally felt a slight sense of relief.
After downing two bottles, Jeanie was completely dazed. Her stomach was bloated, and her face was flushed red.
Hailey stood up, leaned in close to Jeanie, and whispered, “There are so many men here, and you are the only woman. Not to mention, you are drunk. If I leave now, what do you think will happen?”
Jeanie’s eyes widened, and she suddenly sobered up a little.
She glanced around and saw a few men staring at her like hungry wolves.
“Take me with you,” Jeanie ordered.
Hailey did not mind her tone. She straightened up and raised five fingers, raising an eyebrow slightly.
Jeanie froze for a moment before realizing what she meant–1.5 million.
“I will help you this once. Including my sister’s medical expenses and compensation for emotional distress, 1.5 million. Not a

cent less. Transfer it to my account now, and I will take you with me Helley dem
Jeanie’s face turned ashen with rage, but the had no other chore.
Only Hailey could get her out of here.

As the Gibbs family heiress, she naturally had more than five million in her account, so the immediary runtered the
money.
When she saw the transaction confirmation, Hailey curled her lips into a fint work. The then graded jezik whee m dragged her out.
Jeanie was too dizzy to resist. The excessive alcohol made her nauseous, and the felt like vomiting, he had no strength let to struggle and could only let Hailey drag her along.
They left the hotel without any obstacles. As the fresh air hit her, Hailey finally breathed a sigh of relset.
She released Jeanie, clapped her hands, and said, “Miss Gibbs, this is as far as I take you Pye–Aye!
“Wait, take me to the hospital, Jeanie replied, slurring her words from intoxication.
Hailey shrugged and said, “Miss Gibbs, that would cost extra. I only said I would get you out of the room, not take you to the hospital.”
Jeanie gritted her teeth. She reeked of alcohol, and her outfit was revealing, No matter where she went, trouble was
inevitable.
Since Hailey refused to help, she took out her phone and called her agent.
Using the last bit of her consciousness, she dialed the number and gave her location before pawing out.
Hailey glanced at her but did not intervene. Instead, she took out her phone and called Eliza.
“Where are you?” she asked.
Eliza spoke softly on the other end, “Hailey, we are at the hospital. Casey was forced to drink a lot of alcohol and passed out on the way. She is currently having her stomach pumped, and…”
“I am on my way. Send me the address,” Hailey interrupted.
“Okay,” Eliza replied.
Jeanie lay unconscious at the hotel entrance, drawing the attention of passing pedestrians.
Hailey approached a security guard, pulled out a few bills, and handed them to him. “That woman over there is the Gibbs family heiress. Keep an eye on her. Do not let anyone touch her, and there is no need to cover her up. Someone will come to pick her up soon.”
The security guard took the money, patted his chest, and assured, “Understood, Miss.”
Hailey’s gaze darkened as she added coldly, “If anything happens to her, I will hold you responsible.”
The guard nodded quickly. “Yes, Miss. I will keep an eye on her.”
Only then did Hailey turn and leave for the hospital.
By the time she arrived, Casey was still undergoing treatment. She waited outside with Eliza.
“Hailey,” Eliza said softly, “did you really take that woman’s money? Are you giving up on getting revenge for Casey?”

Hailey turned to look at her.
She was too sharp not to understand the underlying reason for Eliza’s question.
“Did Casey hear about it?” she asked.
Eliza nodded. After a moment of hesitation, she added, “Casey seems really upset.”
“I avenged her and took the money. That money was what Jeanie owed her. She hurt Casey–paying for medical expenses is the least she could do,” Hailey said flatly, offering no further explanation.
Eliza finally relaxed. “Then, Hailey, you should explain things to Casey later.”
Hailey said nothing.
She was not good at explanations. Besides, she had done what needed to be done.
The surgery room lights dimmed, and Casey was wheeled out, her face deathly pale as she was transferred to a ward.
She remained unconscious, completely devoid of color.
Casey had suffered because of her. For the first time, Hailey felt like a sinner.
She dared not enter the ward, choosing instead to wait outside.
Hailey sighed, “Eliza, can you go in and watch over Casey for me?”
Eliza nodded, “Okay.”
She got up and walked inside.
Hailey held her head, letting out a weary sigh.
Her phone rang–it was Owen calling.
“Hello?” she answered.
Owen was perceptive and immediately sensed something was wrong. “What happened?” he asked.
Hailey bit her lip and recounted the events of the night.
“Owen, tell me, am I a walking disaster?” she asked bitterly.
“No one wanted this to happen. It is not your fault. The one to blame is Jeanie–she is the real culprit.” Owen’s voice was calm and steady. “Hailey, do not let this make you doubt yourself.”
