“Alice, someone over there wants to talk to you.” Jeanie walked over and called out to Alice/
Alice put down her wine glass and said to Owen and Hailey, “Excuse me
The two of them nodded. Alice then walked over to a CEO with a natural and unrestrained attitude.
After all, Owen was a man of status. From time to time, people would come over to talk to him.
He remained seated beside Hailey, feeding her food while communicating with others.
Hailey saw that he was not paying attention to her, so she secretly took a glass of red wine to drink.
However, before the wine glass could reach her mouth, a big hand blocked it and took the wine glass from her hand.
“Calhoun Group doesn’t have any plans for that piece of land for the time being. When there’s a need for cooperative development, we’ll give priority to your company.” Owen’s voice was cold and calm.
“Alright, thank you, Mr. Calhoun.” The man was flattered.
Only then did Owen turn his head and look at Hailey with his stunningly handsome eyes. He narrowed his eyes slightly. “You want to drink?”
Hailey shook her head vigorously. “No, no. I took it for you.”
Ever since she got drunk last time after drinking just a little, Owen had explicitly prohibited her from drinking.
It couldn’t be helped. Her alcohol tolerance was too poor.

At this moment, Owen felt a little hot. He unbuttoned a few buttons, stood up, and patted Hailey’s head. “I’m going to the washroom.”
Hailey replied, “Okay.”
Owen walked toward the washroom.
Hailey lowered her head and took a sip of juice. She felt that something was wrong with Owen.

He only had three glasses of ordinary red wine. The aftereffects shouldn’t have been so strong. Yet, he looked dizzy.
Hailey was worried and was about to get up to check on him when she was stopped.
“Hailey.” It was Jeanie.
Hailey stopped. “Miss Gibbs, what’s the matter?”
Jeanie said, “Shall we have a chat?”
Hailey and Jeanie arrived at a deserted place.
Jeanie took a glass of wine and sipped it. She looked at Hailey with hostility. “Because of you, my future is ruined.”
“You brought it on yourself,” Hailey said lightly.
Jeanie sneered. “I’m from the Gibbs family. My sister is a world–class violinist. Who do you think you are? How dare you provoke us?”
Hailey did not want to talk to a crazy woman like Jeanie. “If you called me over just to say these words, then forgive me for not accompanying you.”
“Don’t even think about leaving.” Jeanie grabbed Hailey’s wrist and stared at her coldly like a poisonous snake. “Hailey, listen I can’t have Owen, but neither can you. He belongs to my sister. Who do you think you are? Do you really think you can marry into the Calhoun family?”
Hailey’s hand was hurting from Jeanie’s grip. She shook off Jeanie and her expression turned cold. Suddenly, she raised her hand and grabbed Jeanie’s neck.
She could tell that Jeanie was deliberately stalling for time.
“What did you and Alice do?” Hailey’s eyes were bloodshot as she glared at Jeanie. Her voice was ruthless and cold.
Jeanie trembled in fear. She laughed arrogantly. “You never saw this coming, right? Hailey, listen. At this moment, my sister and Owen are probably already in bed. Well? The man you love is having sex with another woman.”
Hailey gripped Jeanie’s face tightly as she leaned toward Jeanie. Her voice was cold. “If anything happens to Owen, I won’t let the Gibbs family off.”
Jeanie suddenly did not dare to speak because she saw the look in Hailey’s eyes.
It was cold, ruthless, and savage, as if she wanted to kill someone.
Hailey wasn’t joking or deliberately threatening. For a moment, Jeanie felt that Hailey would really do that.
Jeanie thought, ‘Lunatic! She’s simply a lunatic!‘
Hailey raised her hand and hit Jeanie’s neck. Jeanie fainted.
Hailey made a phone call. “Help me cut off the network and power lines in Morning Haven.”
The person on the other end was Miles. “Roger that.”
Miles was sitting in front of the computer. He quickly started typing on the keyboard.
A minute later, Morning Haven suddenly fell into darkness.
“We only have three minutes. Hailey, what are you going to do?” Miles asked.

Before he could say anything else, Hailey hung up.
She walked quickly through the center of the hall and went straight to the lounge area on the second floor.

There were many lounges on the second floor, more than to of them. It would take a long time to check them one by one.
Hailey’s forehead was covered in cold sweat. She bit her lip hard.
However, there was no other way now. She could only search room by room.
She searched the place in just one minute, using almost the fastest speed in her life.
There was only one room left.
Hailey took a deep breath and was about to open the door when someone suddenly grabbed her wrist from behind.
The man’s skin was hot.
Hailey turned around and saw Owen’s bloodshot eyes.
“Owen!” she shouted in delight.
Owen nodded. His forehead was covered in hot sweat, and his entire body was terrifyingly hot. The veins on his forehead bulged. His usually cold and rational eyes seemed to be hiding a wild beast, ready to devour the person in front of him at any moment.
His rationality was about to be consumed.
Hailey could tell that he was not acting himself. She grabbed his wrist and said, “Let’s get out of here.”
Maintaining the last bit of his rationality, Owen grabbed her wrist and pushed her into the room next door. He locked the door behind him and pressed her against it.
His kiss was fast and fierce, sucking all the air out of her lungs.
“Hailey, Hailey…” He shouted anxiously, as if he was anxious to prove that the person he was intimate with was Hailey and not anyone else.
Hailey’s heart trembled at his call. Her face was flushed red as if she had also been drugged.
“I’m here,” she replied softly.
She took the initiative to welcome him and accept all his love.
She didn’t know how many times they had done it or how long the knocking outside the door had lasted.
In short, by the time everything was settled, the sun had already set outside.
Hailey thought, ‘Wait a minute, the sun has set?‘
Hailey suddenly got up from the bed, her face filled with disbelief.
