That night, the Parker estate was ablaze with lights. I sat on the sofa, my nails digging deep into my palms, drawing blood. But it felt like I was numb, just staring at the wall clock, my eyes glued to it without blinking.
The clock ticked from eleven PM to eight AM. Just as the clock chimed, I heard hurried footsteps approaching from outside.
Julian stormed in, his eyes blazing with fury, a whip in hand, advancing toward me step by step.
“Jane, do you know you almost killed Olivia and her baby?”
Baby? Olivia was pregnant?
The shock hit me like a freight train, and I snapped back to reality. In my past life, I’d been pregnant around this time. In this life, I’d pushed Olivia toward Julian as a remedy, so
naturally, she was the one expecting.
Seeing Julian, who was ready to use physical discipline to
defend Olivia, my eyes welled up with tears. I struggled to explain, “I didn’t tamper with the crown, nor did I ever think of harming her. From the kidnapping to the mysterious love letter photos at the banquet, and now the crown today, don’t you find
it suspicious?”
I thought that Julian, usually so cautious, would catch on to the inconsistencies. But he was consumed by rage, coldly stating, “So you mean it’s Olivia framing you all along? I love her, I’m marrying her, why would she want to frame you for no
reason?”
That was the part I didn’t understand either, “I don’t know…”

I barely got the words out before a cry of pain escaped me. The whip in Julian’s hand had somehow risen high and came crashing down on me. The sharp pain shot through my body, making me tremble uncontrollably.
“Jane, you really are stubborn as a mule.”
My face went pale in an instant, a bitter smile creeping onto my lips. Olivia was the one he truly cherished; how could I still hold onto a shred of hope that he would believe me?
I instinctively wanted to flee, but the bodyguard rushed in, pinning me to the ground.
“Jane, will you admit you’re wrong?!” Julian roared as the crop fell again.
With the whip cracking down again, Julian barked at me. Pain coursed through my body, making me tremble, yet I remained
silent.
When he saw my lack of response, the whip struck my back again with brutal force.“I’ll ask you one more time, do you admit your mistake?” But I kept my lips sealed, refusing to speak. I wasn’t wrong! Why should I admit it?
Seeing my stubbornness, Julian’s anger escalated. His eyes were bloodshot, veins bulging on his forehead, and the whip came down mercilessly, tearing into my flesh. Soon, my back was a bloody mess, but I still stayed silent.
Finally, the butler, unable to bear it any longer, stepped forward
and grabbed the whip from Julian’s hand.
“Sir, if you keep this up, she might die…”
Only then did Julian relent, coldly tossing the whip aside.“Jane, don’t do this again!”

I couldn’t hold on any longer; darkness enveloped me, and I lost
consciousness completely.
For the next few days, Julian didn’t come home, while I was too beaten to even get out of bed.
On the day I was finally well enough to move around, my permanent residency permit arrived. I had no reason to remain
at the Parker estate.
After getting the documents, I packed my suitcase, ready to leave. But as soon as I stepped outside, I ran smaXX into Julian.
Before I could react, he coldly said, “Jane, you’re all grown up, yet you’re playing the runaway game! I’ve told you countless times, stop pursuing me! Yet you’ve repeatedly tried to hurt Olivia, and you think this punishment is unfair?”
I felt utterly exhausted. How many times did I have to say I
didn’t love him before he’d believe me?
Seeing my silence, Julian’s expression darkened further, and he finally pressed his fingers to his temples.
“Forget it. It’s good for you to get away. Olivia’s pregnancy is
high–risk, and I’m busy with the wedding. You staying here
could endanger her.”
With that, he took my suitcase.“I’ll take you to the airport.”
I didn’t argue or explain, just followed him silently.
The car sped to the terminal, and just as I was about to get out with my luggage, he asked, “Where’s your ticket to?”
“Where are you going?”
My lips moved slightly, but before I could speak, he said
coldly, “Don’t go too far. Once Olivia and I are married, I’ll come

get you.”
This time, I didn’t say another word; I simply replied, “Okay.”
Then, I walked into the airport under his watchful gaze. It wasn’t until I reached the boarding gate that I pulled out my phone, silently blocked all of Julian’s contacts, and boarded the pSmith without hesitation.
Come get me? No, Julian. I will never return.
We’re done.
