Chapter 19
Up in her room, Sia prepared everything she needed and was folding them into her suitcase when a pair of hands suddenly appeared out of nowhere, wrapping around her waist and dragging her into a hard
chest.
“If I tell you to stay, would you cancel the trip for me?”
Sebastians hot breath fanned her ear. He had intended to accompany her to Sundale and watch her perform. But despite all the sleepless nights he’d spent to clear his schedule, the work at the company only seemed to be increasing.
“Shouldn’t you be happy for me? This is my chance to become famous.”
“Well, famous or not, I’ll always be there for you.” Sebastian meant every word he said. He has the money to afford whatever lifestyle Sia chooses to live.
“But I want to make a name for myself. I won’t even be staying there for long. It’s only seven days, we’ll both survive.” Sia turned around in his arms, draping her hands around his neck, pinning him with her
best puppy eyes.
Not even Sebastian won against her puppy eyes, he carved in with a sigh.
“Fine. I’ll drive you to the airport. If anything happened in Sundale and that you needed help with, don’t forget I’m your supplication Sia. Call me.”
“I will.” Sia beamed.
When Sia arrived at the airport, it was only ten minutes to boarding. Her face was flush which she’d like to blame due anger at being delayed, but she couldn’t hide her red and swollen lips. Images of what happened a minute ago at the car had her turning even brighter.
Sebastian just proved himself a big pervert. Just to declare his possession, he littered her collar bone with hickeys. As if the ring on her finger isn’t enough.
Two hours later, their plane landed in Sundale. As soon as Sia got off the plane, she sent a message to
Sebastian in their chat.
Sebastian was on the top floor of the D.E Group listening to Alex’s report, but his attention wasn’t on the quarterly meeting. His phone was in his hand when it vibrated with an incoming message. That was what he was waiting for, he shifted his attention to the phone.
“Sir, is that a message from Ms Blackwood?”

“Was it that obvious?”
Alex smiled and shook his head, returning back to his report. It was too obvious. Sebastian’s infamous poker face only falters when it comes to Sia. The corners of his lips will curl unconsciously in a faint smile. The things love does to a person.
“That reminds me, make sure again to send someone to watch over Sia in Sundale, I want her safe and happy at all costs.”
“Right away, Sir.” Alex nodded.
When Sebastian returned home at 11pm that night, the house felt oddly quiet and empty. A sour feeling he wasn’t familiar with crept up his heart.
For the following two days, Sia was busy with her rehearsal, but whenever she wasn’t, she was glued to her phone. Texting Sebastian and updating him about the competition and her situation via chat
messages.
“I was wondering, Vivienne,” Hanna said on their break one evening. “Ever since your fight with Sia, you seem to have put up a distance from her. You seem to scared of her?”
“Scare? Do I look like a coward to you? Just watch, something exciting is about to happen.”
Vivienne’s declaration hung heavy in the air the entire time during their practice. Did they really expect her to stand by and do nothing as Sia hugged the limelight in such a big competition? If they did, then they have no idea just who Vivienne Ashford is!
The rehearsal ended well into the evening at 9pm, Sia hurried back to her assigned room at the hotel
when a loud thunder struck.
It had started raining some time during their practice, which only got stronger with thunders striking now and then. Sia trembled at the sound.
It took her back to the night she almost spent at the cemetery if it wasn’t for Sebastian’s help. Now, in the quiet hotel room, Sia was all by herself. She knew she was alone, but still couldn’t help but feel been
watched.
She curled up under piles of blankets, but was still paranoid. Sia took out her phone and dialed
Sebastian’s number.
“Pick up, please answer the phone.” Sia pleaded.
Sebastian answered the call on the third ring.
He was still in a meeting when Sia called, but went ahead and ignored the several curious and baffled gazes of his board directors as he answered the phone. Sebastian knew why they were surprised. It was

against the rule that once made by him to take phone calls in meetings.
“Sebastian, where are you?” Sia’s hushed voice came through the speaker.
“What’s wrong? Are you alright? Did something happen during your rehearsal?” Sebastian fired when he heard the nervousness in her voice.
“No, everything’s fine. I’ll be performing tomorrow.” Another thunder rattled the windows, soliciting a scream from Sia as soon she finished speaking.
Sebastian wasn’t convinced. She wouldn’t call him unless something was wrong.
“Tell me what’s wrong, kitten?”
“Actually, there’s a thunderstorm here. I’m just a little scared, it’s nothing serious.”
