Chapter 33
Sia was baffled at the dramatic change of the woman’s attitude. She took the card and glanced at the balance. Her mouth dropped in shock.
“Hey, don’t you just stand there gaping like a fish.” Bella said, bending over to check the card as well. “Don’t you know how much is in the car-” she froze mid sentence.
“One, ten, hundred, one thousand, ten thousand, hundred thousand, one million, ten million…Six…sixty
million?” Bella choked.
“Am I seeing double? Sixty million!” She screamed.
“Hush! Keep it down,” Sia slapped a hand over her friend dragging her to a safe corner.
“What’s going on here, Sia? You… those other cards, those nine cards,” Bella exhaled a long sigh gesturing towards Sia’s bag. “Don’t tell me they all contain sixty million each.”
She stuttered looking at Sia as if she’d just sprouted a second head. When did her friend go from a poor college student to a billionaire?
“Shh, calm down. I have no idea what’s going on either, Bella. I need to speak with Sebastian about this!” She whispered.
“Open your eyes Sia! You’re rich!” Bella shook her by the shoulder. “My long suffering has finally come to an end. You’ll hire me as your personal chef, won’t you?”
“Calm down, Bella, don’t get your hopes high. This has to be some mistake. I’m returning it back to the owner.” Sia shook her head, her hand bag suddenly felt heavy as if she’s carrying all the raw cash the card contained in the bag.
“True, thankfully, we only spent $200 out of it. It wouldn’t be hard to give it back.”
“Yeah. I’ll go back first.”
Sia felt a strong urge to go home, almost like a wanted criminal that would get caught any moment. She bid farewell to her friend and flagged a cab returning straight to Pinecrest Heights.
She headed straight to the study holding her big trotter in her hand looking for Sebastian.
“You have no idea what happened Sebastian!” Sia exclaimed, barging into the room and dropping everything on the big mahogany desk. She searched her bag and took out the cards, handing them over to Sebastian who was eyeing the pig trotters in confusion with raised brows.
The Millionaire’s Unforgivable Mistake
“What’s happened?”
“Do you,” Sia sucked in a deep breath dramatically. “Do you have any idea how much money is in here? Don’t faint when I tell you the amount. It’s sixty frenking millions!” Sia announced, her eyes widening in shock and excitement.
Sebastian chuckled amusedly at her comic reaction. It was like a kid tasting candy floss for the first time.
“You think I’m lying, don’t you?
“Umm. They deserve to go to jail for scaring you like this.” Sebastian said, patting her head.
“Who deserves to go to jail? Are you friends with bad people?” Sia asked, leaning against Sebastian’s arms on the large seat. After running all the way up here to meet Sebastian, her legs were weak.
Sia had never met any of Sebastian’s friends again after their engagement party.
“They are my business partners and childhood friends. You are safe, Kitten, don’t worry your little brain
too much.”
“Are you sure? What about you? What do you do for a living?” Sia observed Sebastian, not understanding him at all. He was always cooped up in his study whenever he’s home, Sia didn’t know what to make of his job.
I have my own business Sia, enough to take care of you.
“You’re not filthy rich, right? Filthy rich men are always rumored to be bad.”
Sia thought. People that grew up in an abusive home tend to grow closed off and rude when they become
rich.
“Wherever I go Sia, you’ll be right beside me forever.” Sebastian promised, he pulled Sia down to his lap and sealed his promise with a kiss.
The kiss got deeper and heated, intertwining their tongues and bodies together as they both gave in to their desires. Sebastian’s hands wandered off to dangerous zones, caressing and exploiting as he went. further down her waist. Sia jolted when he brushed a certain area, hitting onto the desk.
A paper in her bag fell onto the floor.
“Oh, I almost forgot.” Sia broke the kiss to get the paper on the ground.
Sebastian groaned, resigning to his fate as he watched Sia scurrying to get a stupid piece of paper that ruined his moment.
“Vivienne Ashford?” Sebastian read the name out loud.
Chapter 3
“Yeah, she’s holding her eighteenth birthday party this weekend. I didn’t want to go, but I couldn’t turn her down without sounding like an A hole.”
Sebastian nodded having a general idea of what was going on, but kept his mouth shut.
“You should head down for dinner first. I’ll finish this in a minute and join you.”
“Alright, don’t keep me waiting for long.”
When Sebastian was sure Sia was out of earshot, he whipped out his phone and called Alex.
“Ms Ashford is throwing a birthday party next weekend. Secure me an invitation.”
“Right, sir. I’ll have it right away.”
The call ended as briefly as it started and joined Sia for dinner. She was staring at a fried prawn and gulping down mouthfuls of saliva.
“Eat if you’re hungry. You don’t have to wait for me.
“No, I don’t want to be fat. All these meals are making me fat lately.” Sia whined, she really really wanted to eat it though.
“You? Fat?” Sebastian scoffed, leaning to her height and whispering to her ears.
“I’ve felt you Kitten, there’s nothing fat about you. I’m afraid you might snap in half when we finally sleep
together.”
Sia choked, blood rushing down her spine.
