Chapter 37
That small diamond was worth a billion? They gasped, but none of them could refute as it came from the personal assistant of the D.E’s president.
They swallowed their shock, looking at Sia in a new light.
Sia stared at the engagement ring in her finger, thinking of Sebastian. How did he manage to get something this unique!?“This ring was given to me by someone very dear to my heart, I’m afraid I can’t sell it.” She said finally.
“Just look at this!” Bella sneered at the now baffled crowd.” Sia actually walks around carrying a billion dollar ring. Do you still think she’d steal a crown worth as little as ten million?” This is just too good!
Vivienne could only clench her fists tightly and cough. This was not what she had in mind.
Her minions took that as a signal and hastily came to her aid. “Well, that doesn’t prove she didn’t steal the crown. We all saw it removed from her bag. It’s most likely that the ring was stolen as well.”
“Yes, she has always been so envious of Viv, so…”
“Look! What is that?” Someone gasped pointing at the far end of the western wall. Standing by the rails on the second floor, Sebastian used a small projector to display the video clip of the maid sneaking the diamond crown into Sia’s bag as she bumped into her.
The crowd erupted in murmurs again. But Sia’s attention remained on the masked man above them. From the conversation between Mr Alex and Viv, Sia identified him as the legendary CEO of the D.E. Sia wondered who he is behind the mask and why does he keep coming to aid again and again?
“I had no idea Sia had been framed by my own maid. Seems like the misunderstanding was caused by someone from my side. I’ll hand her over to the police when the party’s over.” Vivienne gritted. through clenched teeth.
“And you Hannah, stop spreading false information about Sia.” She turned to her personal and reprimanded her. Her careful plan had been blown away by someone, but it doesn’t matter. She just had to be more careful from now on.
“I have wronged you, Sia. Please accept my apologies, we were just anxious over the missing crown.”
“I was never angry Viv, I have no reason to be when I didn’t steal your crown.”

“Alright.” Vivienne announced. “The misunderstanding has been resolved, let’s get back to the party everyone.” She smiled, blinking at her father hoping he’d get the hint.
Mr. Ashford flashed a wide grin and grabbing two glasses of red wine, he walked to the second floor.
“This place is too dangerous, Bella. Let’s hand over our gifts and leave before Viv could come up with something else.” Sia shared her concerns.
“Let’s go. I was just thinking the same.”
The two approached Vivienne together, taking out their gifts.
“Hey Viv,” Sia started. “Bella and I will take our leave first. Here’s our gifts. Happy birthday.”
“Why are you leaving so soon? Have you not really forgiven me? I’m innocent too. People might think bad of me if you leave so soon.”
“Well, what do you have in mind, Viv?” Sia said, dropping the forced smile on her face.
“Let’s have a toast first. Hannah, bring a drink for Sia and I.”
“Right, I’ll be back right away, please don’t leave yet Sia.” Hanna disappeared from the crowd to get the drinks.
Back to the second floor, Mr Williams approached Sebastian with his creepy grin.
“You’re formidable indeed Mr President. From all the way up here, you were able to witness the scene below and solve the dispute without appearing on scene.”
Sebastian hummed, not glancing at the gushing man besides him. His attention was solely on Sia.
When Williams followed his gaze, he only saw his daughter standing out in the crowd. Turns out the mysterious CEO had only attended the party because he had a crush on his daughter! Williams thought with a heart stopping realization.
“Actually,” he cleared his throat. “Maybe I shouldn’t say this, but Vivienne has admired you for a long time now. Here, have a drink please.” Mr. Ashford held up the scarlet–colored liquid to Sebastian.
Back at the first floor, Hannah had returned with two glasses of red wine and kept them on the table between the two.

“Let’s toast to a friendship forever. We shouldn’t allow small conflicts to stand in our way. Cheers.”
Vivienne said, aiming for the glass closest to her out of the two brought by the maid.
“Look!” Sia suddenly exclaimed.
“Where? What’s wrong?” Vivienne glanced at Sia.
“Up at the second floor!”
Vivienne subconsciously looked up, but there was nothing out of the ordinary.
“Sia, are you mocking me?”
“How could I? You just said we shouldn’t let small that looks just like you, so I called your attention.”
dicts stand in our way. I thought I saw a girl
While Viv wasn’t seeing, Sia picked the glass Vivienne was aiming for and gulped it down.
“There, toast is done. Am I free to leave now?”
Sebastian who was witnessing the scene smiled when he saw Sia’s little trick.
Vivienne had no idea what Sia had done and was relieved when Sia downed the spiked drink.
Not even Sia would be able to uphold her virginity after taking such a strong drug. She reached out for the last drink and sipped it, observing Sia’s reaction, looking for signs of the drug kicking in
