Chapter 07
When I saw Ryan proudly presenting the baby toys and supplies, it suddenly reminded me of so
Back when I was pregnant with my first child, he had custom ordered similar items.
After my miscarriage, they became meaningless.
In his anger at me, Ryan smashed them into pieces.
Linda stormed in and wrestled with Ryan, trying to tear the property transfer certificate out of his hands
My mother–in–law quickly stepped in to stop her. Ryan wanted to push her away but didn’t dare.
The three of them struggled noisily, creating a chaotic scene.
I ignored it all. I walked out, leaving the madness behind.
A few days later, Ethan and I came back from the mall.
I was holding the baby when he suddenly started crying loudly.
“Stay in the car. Don’t get out.”
Ethan parked outside the yard, staying alert.
As he approached the house, several strong men rushed out and attacked him.
But Ethan was a retired soldier and had won world–class combat medals.
These men were no match for him and were quickly taken down.
“Who sent you?”
Ethan kicked one of the attackers and glared at him coldly.
“It was… Linda,” the man stammered, begging for mercy. “She said she had to make sure her child would be the company’s only heir. She sent us to attack you.”
I held the baby tightly, my body trembling with rage.

I didn’t want him to see such an ugly scene.
Hd Puan For the first time ever, he
I called Ryan. For the first time ever, he answered almost immediately.
“Darling, you finally called me…”
I cut him off and said, “Come to my new address. Right now.”
Ryan arrived quickly. He practically jumped out of his car and ran toward us.
“Darling, have you forgiven me? Let me take you home.”
Η
When he saw the attackers lying on the ground, he froze.
“What happened?”
I explained everything, and Ryan was skeptical until the men repeated Linda’s orders..to make sure my
baby and I didn’t leave the scene alive.
Ryan’s eyes burned with rage, his gaze sharp enough to cut through steel.
“How dare she? How dare she?!”
“Ryan,” I said coldly, “I can’t just let this go. Someone has to pay for what happened.”
Anger clouded my mind. My baby had almost been killed. “If you don’t seek justice for your child, I will.”
Ryan’s expression twisted with pain and hesitation. “But… she’s about to give birth. The baby is
innocent…”
“And my baby isn’t innocent?!” I shouted. “He was almost killed by a blade!”
Ryan lowered his head as if the weight of the entire world had fallen on his shoulders. Shame and inner conflict were written all over him.
At that moment, his phone rang.
“Ryan, my water broke!” A woman’s panicked voice cried. “There’s so much blood. I’m scared. Please come to the hospital!”
“Don’t worry, Linda. I’m coming!”
Without a moment’s hesitation, Ryan got into the car.
I watched him disappear into the distance and smiled coldly.

Ryan. Linda. I won’t let either of you off.
A month later, I received a call from an unknown number.
“Sophia, I’ve had a boy!” Linda’s voice was sweet and smug. “Now Ryan’s company has its rightful heir.”
I couldn’t help but laugh mockingly. It seemed Linda didn’t know what had happened to Ryan’s company in the past month.
After I left the company and gave up on taking over, Ryan made a complete mess of things.
My father withdrew his investments, and stocks were sold off in bulk.
Ryan’s company was now on the verge of collapse–an empty shell.
“It’s fine,” I said calmly. “I should thank you for taking that piece of trash out of my life.”
I paused, then looked at the documents my lawyer had given me days ago and added with a smile, “By the way, I heard you had quite the wild time before reuniting with Ryan.. several affairs with wealthy
men.
Linda’s voice turned cold. “Are you trying to threaten me? Don’t forget, I have proof of your affair with
another man!”
“Next week, Ryan and I are getting married,” she sneered. “We’ll also throw a party for our baby. Feel
free to attend.”
Staying composed, I replied cheerfully. “I wish you and Ryan a lifetime of happiness. If you can make it.
that is.”
After hanging up, I looked at the thick stack of documents in my hands and chuckled.
“Sophia,” my lawyer had said, “these are Linda’s pregnancy records. They were left in the hospital trash. The child is very likely not Ryan’s,”
Ryan had a known fertility issue; it was only because of my own high fertility that I had been able to
conceive his child.
My pregnancy had been difficult, causing severe nausea and hair loss.
Yet Linda seemed perfectly healthy, never showing any signs of pregnancy struggles.
It was suspicious, to say the least.
On the wedding day, I arrived with all the evidence rendy.
The venue was lavishly decorated. Linda had invited many of her friends and family, even live–streaming the event as if announcing it to the world.
Holding her baby, she smirked at me provocatively.
The next segment was a video of blessings from friends.
But when the screen lit up. It wasn’t the video she had prepared.
Instead, It was page after page of evidence.
