Heavy knocks banged against the door, mixed with reporters‘ voices woke Sia up, she slowly opened her
eyes.
Her head felt fuzzy, and she was sore all over as if she had been run over by a truck.
What’s wrong with me? She thought, cracking her eyes open to assess her body. The moment she saw her body made she became sober instantly.
Deep and shallow marks littered her arms. And under a thin quilt was her naked body!
Then the sounds of steady breathing into her ears; slowly, Sia turned her stiff neck around. Seeing the face of the people around her clearly, her pupils constricted instantly as anxiety and fear gripped her
heart.
“Ahhhh!” She let out an ear–piercing scream like the scaredy cat she was.
Why is Sebastian Sterling sleeping in her bed??!
Sebastian is the most unfavored and despised illegitimate child of the Sterling Family. It is rumored that when he was ten years old, he was caught in a fire, half of his face was burnt horribly, and he looked like a devil crawling up from hell.
Sia racked her brain as she tried to remember what happened last night that led to this. “I’m trying to sleep, honey. Can’t you answer the phone later?” Rosalind’s voice came from the phone.
It was as if a bucket of ice–cold water was dumped over Sia’s head, her face turning pale.
While she was with Sebastian last night, Nathan slept with Rose.
“Sia?” Nathan’s voice called her name.
“Nathan? What the heck is happening!? Why is Rosalind sleeping in your bed early in the morning? Are we still hold an engagement reception today?”
Nathan was speechless when he heard her words.
“Of course not. The engagement still holds. But my fiancée is not you anymore, but is Rosalind.”
“I’m sorry, Sia. I realized that Rose was the person I liked all along.”
Nathan’s voice was cold and indifferent. His tone might be apologetic, but there wasn’t any trace of guilt
in it.
Sia understood the whole situation now. It’s obvious that Nathan also played a part that Rosalind drvgging her and sending her to Sebastian’s bed.
“Unbelievable, huh? I never thought that you are a such kind of disgusting man!”
Sla hung up the phone without waiting for his reply. Her fingernails were stuck in her flesh. No amount. of pain in her palm could compare to the pain in her heart at this moment. Then Sia turned her gaze to Sebastian’s face.
At the same time, Sebastian, has already been awakened by Sia’s startled scream, heard all the conversation between her and her boyfriend. He stared at the moon–shaped birthmark on Sia’s collarbone, making it unclear what he was thinking.
“We slept tougether last night, didn’t we?” She asked.
“You must be responsibility for me! Today will be our engagement!” Sia gritted her teeth and glared to the
man.
The man seems didn’t predict her reaction would be like that.

The knocking on the door continued to come in, and the reporters outside the door all wanted to get first–hand information about the wealthy family’s scandal.

had come prepared. If his memories served him right, Sia should have just turned 12. She is too young to handle the questions that would be fired at her by the reporters the moment she stepped
out.
But instead, the girl shook her head in deflance, rejecting his offer.
Rosalind and Nathan – the disgusting man and his shamelless lover, are at fault, not them. Why should they be forced into hiding like rats when they were the victims? Sia thought.
She propped up her aching body off the bed and threw on her clothes with her back to Sebastian. When
was decent again, she walked to the door and unlocked it with her chin jutted up in mock confidence.
The reporters were astonished by how easily Sia appeared, and then the spotlight kept shining on Sia’s face. Her neck and collarbone were covered with hickey marks, which showed that last night’s process
was very fierce.
“Ms. Blackwood, is it true that you’ve betraied your boyfriend?”
“Ms. Blackwood, what happened between you and Mr. Sinclair? Aren’t you afraid of Sinclair’s revenge?”
Sia was bombarded with question after question in an instant. Just at that time, Sebastian strode forward. in long powerful strides and stood beside Sia with a protective stance.
She shot him a grateful glance; although half of his face was disfigured and he didn’t hold a powerful status, he would stand up by your side when you need someone the most.
After the reporters saw Sebastian, they began to more excited because they know the betrayal was real.
“I know you have many questions regarding last night. I came out prepared to address that and clear your doubts.” Her small hand searched Sebastian’s big one and intertwined their fingers.
“I didn’t betray anyone. I broke up with Nathan last night. We have nothing together anymore, and I’ve moved on. Rest assured, our engagement party will be held as promised. Sebastian Sterling is my present boyfriend. And of course, he will be my fiancé from tomorrow.”
