Juliette pointed to the door. “There’s the door, get out.”
Her voice was still cold, showing Madeline no respect.
Madeline wondered again if she had heard wrong. She rushed forward and yelled at Juliette, “You’re telling me to get out?”
Madeline glanced at her newly manicured nails. She tried to scratch Juliette’s face with her sharp, fake nails.
In the end, Juliette grabbed her wrist and slapped her in the face.
“My husband is seriously injured and has just been rescued from the ICU. As an outsider, what right do you have to come here and accuse me? As Patrick’s wife, I’m asking you to leave and not disturb his rest. What’s wrong with that?”
