Madeline tumbled twice on the ground before finally coming to a stop. She was stunned.

She thought. I’m Patrick’s childhood sweetheart, having grown up with him. Isn’t Juliette afraid that Patrick will blame her when he wakes up? And my face hurts.
Madeline touched her face; it was stinging with pain. Juliette had grabbed her hand and slapped her.
Anger burned in Madeline’s beautiful eyes.
“Madeline, why are you sitting on the ground in such cold weather?” A kind voice suddenly came from above.
Madeline looked up and saw Patrick’s grandmother, Dorothy Clarke. Madeline’s heart leaped with joy, followed quickly by a pang of sadness.
On one hand, she was delighted that Dorothy was here. Now, Dorothy would deal with Juliette.
On the other hand, she was sad because she suffered so much in Juliette’s hands.
Since Dorothy was here, she would ask Dorothy to help her get even. She was determined for Juliette to be driven away from Patrick.
“Grandma, it was Juliette. She pushed me to the ground,” Madeline cried.
“I heard that Patrick was hospitalized due to an injury, so I immediately rushed here to visit him. In the end, when Juliette learned that Patrick and I were childhood sweethearts, she wouldn’t allow me to visit him.
“She first slapped me, then pushed me out of the ward, and then pushed me hard to the ground. Grandma, look. There are still finger marks on my face, and my palm was also scratched when I fell to the ground just now.”
Madeline was the apple of the eye of the Lowe family. She had been pampered since childhood.
Her complexion was delicate, so the finger marks on her cheeks were really obvious.
Furthermore, she was crying her eyes out. She looked so pitiful.
Dorothy immediately told the people around her to help Madeline to her feet and asked in disbelief, “Is Juliette really that fierce?”
Madeline nodded solemnly. “Mrs. Clarke, you’ve seen what I look like now. Of course, what I said is true.”
Dorothy hadn’t even met Juliette yet, but just listening to Madeline’s description, her impression of Juliette had already hit rock bottom.
She thought, Juliette hit Madeline just because Madeline said she was Patrick’s childhood sweetheart? Juliette is so narrow- minded.’
“Go and knock on the door. I want to see how fierce my granddaughter–in–law is. Let’s see if she can tolerate an old woman like me,” Dorothy said gruffly.
In the ward, after Juliette drove Madeline out, she felt that the ward was finally quiet.
Patrick was covered with injuries and stained with blood. She supposed he must be feeling very uncomfortable. So she went to the bathroom, filled a basin with warm water, and together with Beau, wiped Patrick’s hands and legs.

Chapter 194
Unexpectedly, at this moment, there was another knock on the door.
Beau was about to open the door, but Juliette stopped him. “Maybe its Madeline coming back to demand pretier. If ge open the door, it will disturbs Patrick’s rest.”
Beau thought about it and felt that Juliette was right.
But the knocking persisted, more of a polite tapping than a forceful banging.
Beau said. “Maybe it’s not Madeline. I’ll see who it is.”
Beau went to open the door, and Juliette continued to wipe the dirt off Patrick’s body,
Upon opening the door, Beau found Dorothy standing there. His jaw dropped. Just as he was about to speak, the signaled him to be quiet.
Juliette noticed that Patrick’s chest was stained with some blood that had coagulated there.
She heard multiple people coming in, just as she pulled open Patrick’s collar.
She said without raising her head, “I’m cleaning the blood on Patrick’s body. If you have something to say, wait until later. Don’t disturb Patrick, or I’ll throw you out.”
Although she didn’t look up, she was imposing.
Beau anxiously wanted to tell Juliette that it was Dorothy, Patrick’s grandmother. But Dorothy raised her hand to signal him not to speak.
They simply watched as Juliette busied herself by the hospital bed.
They watched as she carefully pulled Patrick’s collar wider, then dipped a towel in water, and carefully wiped the blood from his chest.
It seemed like an insignificant thing, but because Patrick had multiple wounds on his body, a little carelessness would aggravate his other wounds. Therefore, cleaning needed to be done with extra care.
This task, while seemingly small, was actually a very important and difficult one. The whole process was very energy- consuming and time–consuming.
Madeline glanced at the time. Ten minutes had passed, then twenty, then half an hour.
The more time passed, the happier Madeline became.
Juliette made Dorothy wait in the ward for half an hour. Juliette must have made a terrible impression on Dorothy.
*It would be difficult for Juliette to secure her position as Patrick’s wife.
Juliette finally finished her work. The water she had brought in had turned red.
After wringing out the towel, she emptied the water and then turned toward the door.
She saw Dorothy, Madeline, and two servants standing behind Dorothy.
Beau said, “Juliette, this is Mrs. Dorothy Clarke. Come and meet her.”
Juliette saw Dorothy’s kind face and then saw Madeline beside Dorothy, with a gloating and contemptuous expression.

Chapter 124
She walked over and said, ‘Hello, Mrs. Clarke. Your reputation precedes you. It’s an honor to meet you today. I was busy cleaning up my husband’s injuries just now and didn’t realize you had arrived”
Madeline snorted softly, waiting for Dorothy to scold Juliette severely.
But Dorothy said, “You’re very attentive to your husband. I saw you cleaning up the blood on him just now. You were meticulous. He is blessed to have a wife like you*
Madeline was stunned.
She thought, ‘Is Dorothy praising Juliette? Oh, Dorothy is being courteous first. She is a reasonable person after all. This must be the case.
Juliette said, “To be honest, I feel ashamed. My husband was hurt because of me. If it weren’t for me, he would still be sleeping with our child at home. So what I did for him isn’t a big deal”

“You and your husband are one entity. How could you say that you caused harm to him? I’m sure he’s glad to have suffered this injury for your sake,” Dorothy replied.
Juliette smiled slightly, thinking that Dorothy was very reasonable and understanding, without the arrogance of a wealthy older lady.
Having a good impression of Dorothy, Juliette couldn’t help but speak her mind. “I don’t know if he is glad or not, but I know that I feel guilty when I see him in this state. I would rather be injured myself than see him injured
Dorothy held Juliette’s hand and comforted her, “It’s okay, he has received treatment from the doctor and will be fine.”
