Juliette felt that Dorothy was being a little too affectionate toward her.
To be precise, everyone in the Clarke family was a little too concerned about Patrick.
“Why did you come to the hospital so late, Mrs. Clarke?” Juliette asked.
Beau, who was standing next to them, felt his heart skipped a beat.

He thought, ‘So, Patrick hasn’t told Juliette that he’s from the Clarke family? In other words, Juliette still doesn’t know the relationship between Patrick and the Clarke family? Oh dear, if they accidentally let it slip tonight, won’t Patrick and Juliette’s relationship be shaken to its core?‘
Beau’s heart leaped to his throat. He didn’t want to get involved in this.
Even if Juliette were to know about Patrick’s relationship with the Clarke family, Patrick should be the one to tell her.
Juliette would probably flip out if she heard it from someone else.
“Someone in the family is hospitalized, so I came to the hospital. I heard that Patrick is also hospitalized. He has some ties with the Clarke family, and Beau is also here, so I stopped by to see Patrick,” Dorothy said.
Dorothy was helping Patrick hide his identity. She indeed didn’t dare tell Juliette Patrick’s true identity.
Patrick had been a man of his own mind since he was a child.
The whole Clarke family was waiting for Patrick to go back. If she revealed Patrick’s true identity here today, she was afraid he would resent her and never go home again.
Dorothy had thought it through. Since Patrick wanted to keep it a secret, they would help him keep it a secret.
When Patrick was willing to tell Juliette his true identity, he could tell her himself.
She didn’t want to upset her grandson.
“I’m relieved to see you taking such good care of him. We know a little bit about Patrick’s situation. He has to take care of his grandmother and child. Usually, there’s no one to take care of him. With you by his side, we are relieved.”
This was why her anger dissipated when she entered the ward and saw Juliette’s behavior.
Juliette said, “Thank you for your recognition. It’s my duty.”
“When Patrick gets better, ask him to bring you to the Clarke family’s house for dinner.” Dorothy patted her hand and led the others away.
The ward door was closed again.
As Madeline walked with Dorothy down the hospital corridor, she was completely dumbfounded.
“Mrs. Clarke, how could you allow Juliette to…” Madeline’s face contorted anxiously.
Dorothy said, “Madeline, I’ve always known that you care about Patrick. But Juliette is the girl Patrick personally said he wanted to marry. He’s willing to get hurt for her and is happy to do so.

“I don’t want Patrick to be unhappy. Since Juliette is the one he chose, I choose to trust her, too. Besides, as Patrick’s wife, Juliette takes good care of him. That’s reassuring for me.”
Nothing else mattered to Dorothy. Even if Madeline was really beaten by Juliette, it didn’t matter.
So what if Madeline grew up with Patrick? Juliette was Patrick’s wife now. A wife was definitely more important than a childhood sweetheart.
One represented the past, while the other was a lifelong partner.
Dorothy might be old, but not stupid. She wouldn’t hurt Juliette for Madeline’s sake and make Patrick unhappy.
Most importantly, what Madeline said might not be true, Dorothy didn’t think Juliette was an unreasonable girl.
Moreover, Patrick cared so much about Juliette. In the future, the Clarke family might have to rely on Juliette to persuade Patrick to go home.
Unfortunately, Patrick had a marriage contract with the daughter of the Harrison family. Patrick’s marriage to Juliette probably wouldn’t last long.
Dorothy sighed.
“How has Juliette done a good job? She was obviously pretending before you, Mrs. Clarke. Don’t be fooled by her.” Madeline
was anxious.

“She doesn’t even know I’m Patrick’s grandmother. Why would she pretend in front of me? Madeline, you’re a good girl, but Patrick is already married. The most important person to him is his wife, not his childhood sweetheart. Do you understand?”
Madeline bit her lip. She understood what Dorothy meant. Dorothy didn’t want her to bother Patrick and Juliette.
However, she had liked Patrick since she was a child. She refused to let Juliette snatch him away.
If Dorothy wouldn’t teach Juliette a lesson, she would find a way herself. She wanted Juliette to know that she didn’t deserve to be Patrick’s wife at all.

Everyone was finally gone.
Juliette rubbed her sore neck. It was past one o’clock in the morning. She wondered if Louis was behaving himself at home alone.
“I’ll stay in a hotel near the hospital. If anything happens, call me, and I’ll be right over.” Beau was also about to leave. *Juliette said, “This is a suite. Why don’t you sleep here? You’ll be the first to know if Patrick wakes up.”
“Me?” Beau pointed at himself. “You want me to watch over Patrick? What about you?”
If Patrick woke up and saw him instead of Juliette, Patrick would get rid of him and ask for Juliette.
Beau didn’t want to do this kind of thankless task at all.
“I’m worried about leaving Louis at home alone. I have to go back and check on him,” Juliette said.
Beau had a headache. He didn’t want to stay here, but he couldn’t refuse the reason Juliette gave.

Chapter 125
“Can you check on Louis and come back quickly? Patrick will kill me if he wakes up and doesn’t see you”
Beau made a scared expression.
Having been tense all day, Juliette suddenly relaxed, and she couldn’t help but laugh.

“No way. You’re his buddy. And besides, if he’s really angry, you can just explain it to him. He must be worried about Louis
too.”
“Anyway, I don’t care. Come back as soon as you get there. I don’t want to stay here and watch over Patrick all night. You do so yourself.”
“What’s there to be afraid of? Patrick is injured now. Even if he wants to hit you, he isn’t your match. You can run away if you have to.”
Beau looked at her resentfully.
Juliette stopped teasing him. She packed up and hurried home to see Louis.
Fortunately, she came back.
It was past two o’clock in the morning when she got home. As soon as she parked the car, she saw a small figure dart out and throw himself into her arms.
She quickly carried him. It was undoubtedly Louis.
Louis, who was soft and small, clung to her arms. His chubby face was pressed against her stomach, and he refused to let go.
“Why are you still awake at this hour? Are you missing me?” Juliette scooped him up and walked towards home.
Louis looked adorable tonight in his fluffy crocodile pajamas, complete with a green tail and a crocodile hat.
Juliette couldn’t help but rub his head a few times.
Louis kept clinging to her chest silently.
Before long, Juliette felt her chest getting wet. Louis was actually crying.
