“Are all these kids yours? If you don’t let them play with mine, will they just listen to you instead?” Juliette asked.

Juliette walked over to Louis, kneeling down to help him up. The sight of her made Louis light up, his eyes sparkling with
excitement.
“Are you gonna be my mommy, lady?” he asked hopefully.
Juliette’s heart fluttered at that question, leaving her a bit lost for words..
“Who are you? I’m talking to Louis, so you can back off,” Aurora snapped, her tone sharp.
When she saw Juliette’s stunning face, jealousy bubbled up inside her. The idea that Juliette hailed from Patrick’s place made her boil.
Her boyfriend was stout and unattractive, nearing 60, married with children. She gave that old man a son just to snag the villa she was living in and be close to Patrick.
Patrick was her goal, and now Juliette was getting in her way. It was infuriating. She wasn’t her boyfriend’s only mistress, and she certainly didn’t want to spend her whole life waiting for him to drop by.
With her gorgeous looks and curves, she’d had countless admirers, yet Patrick had never given her the time of day. And now, Juliette was emerging from his villa.
Juliette gently brushed her fingers against Louis‘ cheek. “Did you hurt yourself when you fell?”
“Nope,” Louis replied, shaking his head.
“Wouldn’t you love it if I were your mom?” she said, smiling sweetly.
Louis nodded enthusiastically, his heart racing.
“Good boy. Then shall we show this lady who I am to you?” Juliette asked gently.
Louis felt his heart was about to escape his chest.
He opened his mouth, desperate to call her mom, worried that if he took too long, she might change her mind. But as eager as he was, the words just wouldn’t come out.
“Shameless! You think one night with Patrick makes you Louis‘ mom? Who knows what tricks you pulled to get inside the villa?” said Aurora.
The more she talked, the more her arrogance showed. Juliette could really sense the disdain in her voice.
“Or maybe there’s nothing going on between you and Patrick at all. You’re just banking on your looks and pretending to be a maid at his villa to get close to him and win over Louis. Trust me I’ve seen plenty of women pull this kind of stunt,” Aurora continued.
“What are you talking about, stinky woman?” Louis shot back, his eyes narrowing with a fierce intensity as he stared at her.
“I’m telling the truth. Louis, you’re young and a little too trusting Just watch out–if you’re not careful, you might end up without a mom and even lose your dad along the way.”

As she talked, she suddenly paused, her expression twisting with anger, and she raised her hand to slap Louis. “How dare you call me that!”
Juliette quickly grabbed Aurora’s wrist to stop her. At the same time, she pulled Louis toward her, turning him so that his face was hidden against her waist, making sure he wouldn’t see any of it.
Then she gave the woman four slaps.
The action came quick and intense, leaving Aurora a bit dazed. After a wild moment of spinning around, she landed on the ground in a bit of a mess.
Juliette didn’t hesitate to raise her foot and stomp on her face. The first slap is just to show you that I’m here to protect my
kid.
“The second slap is for isolating my kid. The third slap is to show you that you don’t deserve my kid’s father. This fourth one lets you know that if you dare to make a move on my child, this is a lesson.”
Aurora’s face was pressed against the grass, the blades digging into her skin. The sting was nothing compared to the throb from her bruised and swollen face.
She was being stomped on so hard that it took a minute for her brain to kick back in. She was both furious and freaked out.
“Seriously, Louis didn’t even call you ‘Mom, so what’s with the whole motherly lecture? Who do you think you are? I’m not letting you walk away!” she snapped.
As soon as Aurora finished speaking, Louis chimed in with enthusiasm, “Mommy, Mommy! I love you, Mommy! You’re my hero!” His cheerful little voice was so full of excitement and admiration.
Aurora shot back, “Get off me! Fighting in front of the kids? Aren’t you scared of teaching them to be all aggressive? Louis replied, “My mom just showed me that it’s all about having fun and settling scores right then and there!”
Juliette gently ran her fingers through Louis‘ hair, and a soft smile spread across her face.
He was just four years old, yet he seemed to have more wisdom than she ever did.
Unlike her past self, who had always backed down, tortured herself, and gone through life feeling invisible. Thank goodness, she got a second chance from the universe to start fresh.
With a slight push of her foot, as if to stomp Aurora into the dir. Juliette said, “We’ll get to that later, but right now, I just want to teach you a lesson to keep my kid safe.”
“Bitch! If you don’t let me go, I will make sure Louis can’t go to kindergarten tomorrow! My man knows people there!” Aurora yelled.
Juliette’s foot pushed down even harder. “Does it hurt? You wanna end up on crutches or what?”
“You! What do you want? I will call the cops! Ouch!” Aurora gaspel in pain. She genuinely worried that Juliette might end up running her over–what a terrifying person she was
“Don’t mess with me like this–are you really not worried about dragging Louis into this? My man will definitely–Ouch!” Aurora exclaimed, wincing in pain as she struggled to catch her breath, only inhaling dirt instead.
“We’ll see what your man can do later. For now, you need to apologize to my kid.” Juliette’s tone was firm and icy.

Louis felt a surge of warmth as Juliette wrapped her arms around him, something he had never really experienced before. It felt amazing to be so protected.
He really wanted to lift his head and see how Aurora was being treated. But just as he looked up. Juliette gently pushed his head back down to keep him from seeing.
A wave of panic washed over Aurora, making it hard to breathe. Shea felt completely overwhelmed with fear. “I’m sorry! messed up. Please, just let me go. I swear, I’ll never do it again….
Just as the moment felt like it was stretching on forever, Juliette finally pulled her foot back.
Aurora had a tough time getting up, all dirty and sprinkled with grass clippings.
And Nolan Reed, her always arrogant kid, now off to the side, totally freaked out and not brave enough to step up and help his mom.
Aurora limps away, her nose sore and bruised, dragging her son along with her, fueled by a mix of anger and resentment. Just wait! It won’t end well for you or Louis! Even if Patrick is a movie star, he’s just an actor. Can he beat the capital? I don’t think so. My man’s gonna know about this!‘ Aurora thought.
Juliette knelt down and gently brushed the stray hair from Louis’s forehead, looking into his eyes. “Hey, were you scared?” ‘Do kids without a mom to look out for them always get picked on?‘ she wondered.
It felt like when she was left behind by everyone in the Vaughn family and was just a target for anyone who wanted to bully
her.
