Juliette simbed and said. “Come on, hurry up and get to work. Your grandma mentioned a family dinner tonight, remember? That’s going to take up a lot of time.
Patrick wrapped his arm around her slender waist and said earnestly, “If you ever feel like you’re being treated unfairly, don’t hold back. It we want to leave, no one here can stop us.”
After thinking for a moment, he added, “I married you to love you, not to have you put up with crap here. Got it?”
“You’re in charge of the Clarke Group now, and everyone relies on you. Your grandparents adore my son. Who in the Clarke family would dare to mistreat me?” she said.
Patrick pondered for a moment, a smile spreadding across his face. He then got up and headed to work.
Juliette was exhausted. Still recovering from her hospital stay, she felt weak. She lay down on the bed and quickly drifted off to sleep
After she woke up, a servant knocked on the door and brought in afternoon snacks and tea. “Mrs. Dorothy Clarke was thoughtful and wanted to make sure you had something to drink when you woke up, Madam
“She asked us to listen for any sounds from your room so we could bring you these right away. If there’s anything else you’d like, please let us know. We’ll get it for you right away”
Juliette looked at the delicate assortment of sweet and savory cakes and pastries.
There was also coffee, water, and juice–everything one could think of Just a sip of each would be enough to fill her up.
“Please thank her for me. She’s so thoughtful to bring all my favorites. And thank you too,” Juliette said warmly.
She spoke kindly and looked beautiful. Even as the CEO’s wife, she remained humble, and the servants really liked her for

After a quick freshen–up, Juliette sat by the window, savoring the breeze and the sunset while sipping tea and enjoying her snacks.
It was getting late, and she knew it was almost time for the family dinner.
Just then, a maid knocked on the door and said. “Madam, Miss Harmony has something special in her room and invited you to check it out. Would you like to go?”
Juliette was just about to go out for a walk and get ready for the family dinner.
So she replied. “Please tell her that I’ll be right there”
On her way to Harmony’s room, Juliette passed the garden and heard crying from the flower bed. She walked over and saw

“Why are you crying? I didn’t even touch you,” Grace snapped at a maid. “You broke my cherished piece. Do you have any idea how long I’ve been waiting for it? My friend sent it from abroad, and it took three months.”
“I don’t need to mention the price. You couldn’t afford it on your salary anyway. If you can’t do your job properly, you should just leave. The Clarke family doesn’t need someone like you.
Grace was arrogant and domineering. Her thick eyebrows furrowed with anger, making the sobbing maid tremble with fear.

“I’m really sorry. Miss Clarke. I didn’t mean to. Normally, I’m very agile, but I’m not feeling well today. That’s why I bumped into you and broke it. I’m usually not like this. Please don’t fire me. I need this job, the maid begged.
She was only in her early twenties. Though she was just a maid in the Clarke family, the benefits were excellent and her salary was double the market rate.
She went on, “My mom is critically ill, and my dad is just a truck driver. He’s old and can’t earn much. If I lose this job, we won’t be able to afford my mom’s treatment.”
The maid cried her eyes out, looking truly pitiful,
“That’s your problem, not mine. All I know is you broke my stuff, and it’s really important to me! You can’t afford to pay for it, but you can’t just get away with it either, right?” Grace pressed.
Her brows furrowed with impatience. “I don’t need your compensation. Just resign and leave.” With that, she walked away.
The sound of her black boots striking the bluestone road was firm and indifferent.
The maid panicked and rushed over, clinging to her leg. “Miss Clarke, please!”
Juliette leaned down and patted the maid’s shoulder. The maid fell silent immediately.
Grace turned to Juliette. “Oh, it’s you again, Ms. Vaughn. This is my place. Are you planning on butting into my business?”
Grace showed her the plane model with a broken wing.
“Look, I’ve waited three months for this, and she broke it right after I got it. All I did was ask her to quit. Didn’t even ask for compensation. That’s me being nice. So, I’d suggest you stay out of it!”
Juliette said, “I get how you feel, but she didn’t mean it. She was unwell and accidentally bumped into you. Maybe you could give her a chance to make it right.”
“How’s she gonna make it right? Pay for it?” Grace sneered.
Grace thought it was laughable to expect the maid to cover the cost.
“She can certainly pay if you want, Juliette said.
She turned to the maid. Tve got an entertainment company. I can pay for you, but you’ll need to work part–time at my company to pay off the debt. Sound good?”
The maid quickly nodded, tears streaming down her face. “Yes, thank you! I’ll do whatever it takes, no matter how tough it is.”
Juliette reassured her, “Don’t stress too much. If we need extras, you can help out. After a few more gigs, your debt will be sorted in no time.”
Grace snapped, “Juliette, mind your own business!”
Juliette asked, “Now she can pay, but you don’t want it anymore?”
“Nah, I don’t want it. There are only two of these models in the world. Even if I have the cash. I can’t snag another one!
Juliette blinked and took a closer look at the model. Made from top–notch materials and showcasing incredible craftsmanship, it looked identical to a real plane in every detail
