Louis was still saying in his cute, babyish voice, “After you confirm, I’ll have the staff send it to your house, Mrs. Vaughn.”
Juliette really wanted to pinch his cheeks. But she refrained from doing so.
“Thank you, little guy. Saving you was merely a trivial effort; you mustn’t dwell on it. And it brings me great joy to see you full of vitality, dear,” Juliette said with a gentle smile.
לם!
Louis said, “Not only are you my life savior, but you are also someone I deeply care about. Though my dad is just a working- class man, he supports me, using all his earnings to buy what you like.”
A working–class man… would splurge 10 million on a piece of sandalwood?‘ Finn felt the child was implying something about him, insinuating that while he, a scion of a wealthy family, couldn’t bear to spend 10 million on his fiancée, a “working–class” man could.
Finn’s anger surged up to his throat, but he couldn’t come up with anything to counter back.
He could even feel the changed glances of those around him, along with hushed whispers that now expressed contempt instead of the previous praise.
Juliette observed Finn’s reaction carefully. Finally, she noted a slight crack in his warm smile.
A trace of chilly mockery flashed in her eyes. Then, she turned to search for Patrick.
He was sitting in the corner, trying his best to lay low, and since be remained silent the entire time, no one realized that the person sitting there was a top–tier actor.
Meanwhile, the staff approached Juliette. “Ms. Vaughn, could you give me your address? We’d like to send the sandalwood to your residence.”
Juliette turned to Louis. “Thank you, little guy, for your kindness I really appreciate it. Daphne, could we have the items delivered to your place for now?”
Upon hearing this, Evan and Bianca became anxious immediately.
“Juliette, our villa is so spacious, more than enough to house a piece of sandalwood. Why bother sending it to the Hayes family? It won’t be convenient to use it later, Evan said as he approached.
Delivering it to the Hayes family would be too much hassle if he were to give it to Bianca.
He told the staff, “Deliver it directly to my residence. The address is Roselake Garden.”
“Since it’s a gift for me, naturally I decide where it goes. Do you agree, Daphne?” Juliette sneered.
Despite not understanding why, Daphne firmly stood by Juliettes side. “Of course. You can even place it in my room. I’ll guard it while I sleep.”
Tagree, and Daphne agrees. That’s enough, Juliette concluded.
Bianca, teary–eyed, retorted, “But Juliette, our house is just in Hawthorn. Isn’t it more convenient to send it to our house? Why trouble the Hayes family instead?
“Or are you being wary of your own family? I see now–the entire Vaughn family shares blood ties except for me. So, you’re

wary of me, aren’t you?”
Instantly, Juliette was pushed into a position where she couldn’t tolerate her foster sister.
It was this trick again. However, Juliette noticed that both Evan and Finn were easily swayed by Bianca’s antics,
In their eyes, she had once again become the wicked woman.
“Since you’re not biologically related to the Vaughn family, isn’t natural for Mrs. Vaughn to be wary of you?” Louis said innocently, his tone naively confused.
Daphne chuckled. She despised Bianca’s pretentious demeanor the most. But the whole Vaughn family was totally smitten by her.
“So what if she’s not blood–related to us? Bianca grew up in the Vaughn family. Our parents are her parents too. Why are you always so guarded against her, Juliette! Apologize to Bianca now! Evan bellowed.
‘Here he goes again, Juliette thought, sneering coldly.
At that moment, Louis turned to Evan and asked, “You’re a bit off aren’t you?”
“What?” Evan was stunned, and then anger set in. Is this kid cursing at me?” he said inwardly.
“Mrs. Vaughn is your sister, yet you don’t respect a thing she thinks, but any word from a non–blood sister is gospel. So yeah, I’m just checking if you’re brain–damaged. Louis’s voice was innocent, filled with childlike curiosity.
It was like he genuinely couldn’t wrap his head around the issue so he just chalked it all up to Evan having some kind of brain issue.
Evan looked at the child before him. Those eyes and that expression were almost angelic. But his words? Pure little devil
stuff.
Evan’s fists clench tight. Were it not for the crowd watching, he wouldn’t mind teaching the kid a lesson. “Where’s your dad? Didn’t he teach you how to respect others?” Evan spoke coldly, his eyes like a storm, ready to tear Louis apart..
“And where’s your dad, then? Didn’t he teach you how to love your sister?” A strange yet pleasant voice rang out.
Everyone turned around, gasping in shock.
The speaker was Beau.
That’s the heir of the Harrison family! When did he arrive? Why didn’t I notice? The onlookers panicked.
Evan, boiling with rage, felt a shudder run through him when he saw Beau approaching. Even before he could unleash his anger, he was trembling in fear before Beau.
The Harrison family stood even above the Montgomery family, Naturally, no one would dare provoke them.
“Since Ms. Vaughn has instructed that the item is to be delivered to the Hayes family, we shall follow Ms. Vaughn’s guidance.” Beau said, his gaze sweeping across the crowd, exerting palpable pressure on everyone present
He continued, “After all, the item belongs to Ms. Vaughn, and wherever it is sent to should be by her arrangements.”
The staff nodded promptly, wrapping up the sandalwood and preparing to deliver it to the Hayes family immediately after. the auction concluded.

Finn expended considerable effort to quell his rage before addressing Juliette, Juliette, tell me what you want, and I’ll buy it
for you.”
“What I wanted is already in hand.”
Finn’s face was a mask of unease, his eyes downcast, and he carefully concealed any sign of his discomposure.
Publicly, he had always maintained a demeanor of gentle chivalry.
Raising his eyes, he smiled at Juliette once again. “You must buy something, or I’ll feel bad about it.”
“Whatever what’s next is, we’ll buy it,” Juliette replied casually.
It was only then that Finn felt his dignity might be restored
The next auction item turned out to be a set of coffee ware from the Renaissance, starting at 1.5 million dollars, eventually driven up to 15 million dollars
“This coffee set is quite nice,” said Daphne. “If Mr. Montgomery doesn’t bid, I’m going to buy them for you, Juliette.” Noticing Finn’s immediate abandonment of the bid for the sandalwood at 10 million. Daphne felt quite displeased.
She was now intentionally provoking him.
Finn gently pinched Juliette’s hand, smiling at her, hoping she’d say that the price was too high and they should pass. In his mind, Juliette was all about keeping up appearances as the perfect wife and would typically say so.
However, Juliette only looked back at him at that moment, blinking her eyes. The set is really nice, Finn. I’ve already imagined what coffee to make with it. Different coffee sets bring out different flavors, you know.”
