Chapter 24
Apart from the necessary expenses for their future wedding. Fin had never thought about spending another 15 million on Juliette.
So when Juliette said those words, his mouth twitched violently, and his composed expression went totally out of whack. But that was just for a split second.
Quickly, he regained composure and raised his paddle, bidding 17 million dollars.
No one else competed, so he bought a Renaissance coffee set for 17 million, gifting it to Juliette.
The chatter around him finally turned positive.
Finn, however, planned to give the coffee set to Bianca later by somehow retrieving it from Juliette.
After all, Juliette, was always easy to manipulate. She’d follow whatever he said, blindly head over heels in love with him.
Soon, the auction ended.
Finn stood up, reaching his hand out to Juliette, waiting for her to take it. But Juliette seemed not to notice, simply walking past him
In the distance, Louis, who was watching them, secretly breathed a sigh of relief. “Dad, Mom didn’t hold his hand. That’s a good sign. It means there’s still hope for you,” he whispered.
Beau glanced at them. “What’s with the mysterious talk? What’s the secret I’m not supposed to know?”
He had been sitting next to Patrick all evening and was also after the sandalwood tonight. If not for Patrick holding him. back, he would’ve been bidding too.
“Family matters,” Patrick replied, implying that an outsider should stay out of it.
Beau’s mouth twitched, his facial expressions vivid, totally unlike his usual poised and dominant self in public.
“Then you guys go ahead and talk, I’ll take my leave first.” With that, Beau made a quick exit.
Then, he intercepted Juliette at the door. “Ms. Vaughn, I have something I’d like to discuss with you. May I have a moment of your time?”
Juliette raised an eyebrow and nodded.
The two walked at least 30 feet away from Finn before Beau stopped.
“Mr. Harrison, what’s the matter?“
“Could you sell me the sandalwood? I’m willing to pay more than 10 million,” Beau said.
He intentionally steered clear of Patrick and Louis specifically to discuss this matter; as with them around, they might hinder his request to Juliette.
“I know the Vaughn family has been the rising star in the perfume market these past few years. And I know you’re planning to gift this sandalwood to Bianca, who was a perfumer.

“But frankly speaking, the best perfumer in the country is in my family. Giving such top–notch–sandalwood to Bianca–um, no offending. I’m just stating facts–would be such a waste.
Tm a perfume enthusiast. Seeing such high–quality sandalwood go to waste hurts me deeply. So I hope Ms. Vaughn can sell it to me. When it came to perfumery, he had grown up with it and could be considered half an expert.
He wanted to buy the sandalwood as a gift for Francis Kim so it wouldn’t waste such a top–tier material.
“You can look down on Bianca. Giving this sandalwood to her isdeed a waste,” Juliette smiled.
Wait, what? Beau was taken aback, followed by great excitement. “So, you’re willing to sell me the sandalwood?”
“No. Because I never intended to give this sandalwood to Bianca Beau’s soaring spirits instantly crashed, his heart feeling like it was breaking.
He wondered. Juliette bought such expensive sandalwood. If not for Bianca, then for whom? Was she going to use it herself? Never heard of her being involved in perfumery
“Is there anything else, Mr. Harrison?”
“How can you sell the sandalwood to me? Just name your terms. Beau was getting a bit anxious.
He rarely set his sights on something and was particularly keen on giving this to his mentor, Francis.
Though he hadn’t met him in person yet. He just knew–the guy was a genius.
And from what he understood of perfumery, he was confident Francis would absolutely love this top–grade sandalwood. Because… well, even he himself was head over heels for it. And pretty much every perfumer in the Harrison family felt the
same way.
With this thought, Beau glanced at Juliette’s face, finding her stone–cold serious. Suddenly, he thought she was kind of clueless.
His tone turned slightly unpleasant. “You’re not giving it to Bianch, and just holding on to it–what’s the point? If you sell it to me, you get cash and a favor from the Harrison family. What’s not to like? Why pick a fight with the Harrison family, huh, Ms. Vaughn?”
Not selling to him and picking a fight with the Harrison family. There was a bit of a threat hidden in his words.
Juliette’s expression cooled considerably.
First off, this sandalwood was a lifelong obsession for her, past life to this. And it was expensive as hell–something her kid splurged on to gift her. Even if it meant stepping on the Harrison family’s toes….
“Not selling stuff I cherish equals going against the Harrison family? Mr. Harrison truly opened my eyes to what big–shot- clans are like tonight.”
“No offense, just stating facts. Heartbreaking really…,to see such top–grade sandalwood in M Vaughn’s hands…”
Before Beau could finish, Juliette cut him off with a Scoff, “Keep heartbreaking then.”
Beau’s face darkened. A flippant playboy he might be renowned as, but never had anyone dared disrespect him like this. “I’m willing to pay top dollar for this sandalwood, representing the Harrison family-
Juliette interrupted again bluntly. “The Harrisons want it, so I must cede? Mr. Harrison, if you like it so much, you should’ve

bid for it at the auction instead of trying to intimidate me with your status here.”
Fearlessly, Juliette’s icy gaze met Beau’s straight–on.
Beau was taken aback.
No woman had ever confronted him with such a posture before
Quickly, he grasped that procuring the sandalwood from Juliette was hopeless.
He thought Juliette would be easy to sway, only to discover her heart was as hard as steel.
“Ms. Vaughn, do not regret your words tonight.”
“Same to you, Mr. Harrison.” Juliette grinned.

Beau’s charming eyes flickered with ire, and the aura around him suddenly surged, aiming to suppress Juliette’s arrogance.
But abruptly, a frosty voice demanded, carrying an air of imperial dominance. “Beau, what are you doing?!
Immediately, Juliette saw Patrick leading Louis by the hand, emerging from the darkness.
