Chapter 45
Patrick trembled all over. Holding Juliette’s shoulders, he abruptly pushed her away, his deep eyes fixed on her.
It was as if they were the only two people left in the world.
Their breathing was so clear, their heartbeats so distinct, intertwined like silk threads.
Juliette’s eyes were misty. She was embarrassed to admit that this was the first kiss she ever remembered.
As for whether her first kiss was taken away in her lost memory, she had no idea.
Suddenly, Patrick took a deep breath.
He clasped her hands, his ten fingers interlocking with hers, pressing them together tightly.
She could almost feel the pulse in his fingers..
Her hands were pinned against the partition behind her.
Patrick kissed her again, first savoring her lips, then plundering them wildly, as if he had lost all control.
Then, she couldn’t take it anymore.
Juliette leaned against the wall while panting, her lips red and delicate.
Patrick’s fingertips gently caressed her lips and felt an ambiguous and sensual touch.
In fact, he had been in a bad mood for the past few days.

He was not happy that she and Finn were about to get
married.
He had just heard that Juliett only loved Finn, and he was not happy.
He was also not happy to see that Laurence wanted to take advantage of her.
Finn’s words were full of contempt and insult to her, and that made him even more unhappy.
He was most unhappy to see her being influenced by Finn’s words.
All kinds of emotions added up, which made him lose control just now.
However, all the bad things have changed for the better.
“You kissed me while my fiancé was still outside. Mr. Clarke, you are really brave.” Juliette said with a smile, her voice very soft.
Patrick was a little surprised by these words.
She obviously enjoyed it just now, but he didn’t want to argue with her. The kiss made him feel content.
So, Patrick continued to caress her lips and said, “I dare to kiss you when your fiancé is outside. Isn’t it exciting?”

Chapter 45
Patrick had another important reason for kissing her, and that was to make up for her self–esteem.
For a woman to be threatened by her fiancé to be given away was a huge blow to her self–esteem.
He wanted Juliette to know that the man outside was a scumbag who didn’t cherish her.
Now it was Juliette’s turn to be surprised. Since they met, Patrick had always been gentle and gentlemanly.
Patrick said, “Now you need me to steal you away from that wedding.”
He spoke decisively, as if he had determined the path she would take in the future.
Juliette put away the smile on her face. “It will be bad to go against the Montgomery family.”
“Those who oppose me will not have a good ending either.”
Juliette was slightly taken aback, then smiled.
She said, “Your financial resources seem incomparable to the Montgomery family’s. If you were to steal me away from the wedding, how could you possibly do that?”
Patrick answered, “It would be humiliating enough for the Montgomery family if a man less than them came to steal away their bride.”
Juliette’s gaze lingered on his face for a moment before she said, I don’t want you to come.”
The tenderness and smile in Patrick’s eyes vanished in an instant. His fingertips pressed slightly against Juliette’s red lips, his handsome face approaching hers, their breaths mingling.
“What did you say?” His voice was hoarse and low, clearly displeased.
“I don’t want you to come to my wedding.” Juliette looked at him.
Patrick suddenly kissed her forcefully, as if he wanted to devour her whole being, his body pressed tightly against hers.
The kiss ended soon, and Juliette’s cheeks were flushed.
Her breath was shallow. Her back was against the partition, her legs were weak, and she could barely stand.
Patrick held her waist because she could barely stand.
His face was almost touching hers as he asked softly, “Say that again?” There was a threat in his voice.
This was the third time he had proposed to Juliette to run away with him, but he had been rejected once again.
Patrick found it hard to accept. Anger even welled up inside him.
Juliette didn’t even look at him. She just smiled softly. “You seem to like this kind of exciting game, but I don’t need it.”
She pushed Patrick away very hard. This was something Patrick hadn’t expected at all.
He was caught completely off guard, so much so that he took a few steps back and bumped into the partition.
He was stunned by her speech.

Chapter 45
Juliette stopped, and when she looked at him again, her eyes were crystal clear.
ງ
She said. “Mr. Clarke, in this day and age, force is a precious resource. Unless it’s for an important purpose, it’s best not to use it casually. Thank you for standing up for me just now.”
Patrick leaned against the wall and looked at her.
He understood that Juliette meant she wasn’t worth his help just now.
However, it was considered important for him. Patrick didn’t explain himself.
Juliette then remembered that this was the restroom, and Patrick was still standing tall and noble, his temperament out of place with his surroundings.
She thought, ‘Well, the famous movie star Mr. Clarke seems to have basic needs just like other humans do.’
Thinking of this, Juliette’s eyes held a hint of amusement.
Patrick adjusted the collar of his white shirt, stood up straight, looked at her again, and said, “Legally, a wedding gift is a gift given for the purpose of marriage. Although you made the Montgomery family agree to a 2.7 billion wedding gift, if the marriage doesn’t happen, the law requires you to return the gift
Juliette lowered her eyes and thought, ‘His temper is so good. Although I just rejected him, he is still trying to care for me. It’s so hard for me to not fall for him.
When Juliette raised her eyes, she saw his incredibly handsome face.
He had already collected himself, no longer revealing a single trace of being out of control.
He was low–key, calm, noble, domineering, but even more attractive.
Juliette smiled brightly, “Since I can make them pay 2.7 billion, I have the ability to keep them from taking it back.”
Her voice was not loud, but it was decisive and unquestionable.
Listening carefully outside, Juliette heard no more movement. She unbolted the door and waved to Patrick, “Mr. Clarke, goodbye.”
The hand she raised was suddenly clasped.
Juliette turned her head to see Patrick was close at hand. He was really fast.
By the time she stopped, Patrick had deftly released her hand.
Juliette didn’t know what to say.
A delicate velvet box suddenly appeared in Patrick’s hand as he handed it to her. “Louis said that life won’t always be bitter if you eat a piece of chocolate from time to time.”
Juliette’s eyes flashed with surprise, “You came to Golden Breeze tonight just to give me a box of chocolates?”
Patrick said, “This is very important to Louis.”
Juliette saw his gentle smile and sincere eyes.
Chapter 45
It was as if he wasn’t the one who had just kissed her passionately and the one who was angry because she refused to run away with him.
“This box of chocolate is homemade, and it tastes different from the ones sold in stores. Eat one piece a day, and I’ll bring you another box in seven days.” Patrick stuffed the chocolate into her hand and walked out.
