The last phrase “Do you think you’re worthy?” was no longer a question directed at the Vaughn family. It was the most genuine mockery from the depths of Juliette’s heart.
Mason stood there dumbfounded, the barrage of questions slapping him in the face.
Juliette was right. He had always felt indebted to Bianca’s father. That guilt compelled him to give Bianca everything, always forcing Juliette to give up her interests.
In his mind, this was only natural. Like how the older sibling yielded to the younger one. Parents raised children, and in return, children cared for their parents.
But in Mason’s eyes, Juliette was unreasonably petty.
However, no one present seemed to agree with him. No one refuted Juliette.
As the words caught in his throat, Mason found himself lacking the confidence to argue back.
So, he changed the subject. “These are matters between you and the Vaughn family. What does it have to do with Bianca? Why would you slander her for plagiarizing your work at such an important event?”
Mason was grasping at straws, trying to shift the momentum. If Juliette could be discredited, the Vaughn family would win. Bianca would win.
For the family’s reputation and interests, sacrificing Juliette was a small price to pay.
Suddenly, the crowd were stunned. They remembered this whole thing was about Bianca plagiarizing in the first place. “Slander her?” Juliette chuckled coldly. “Why don’t we take another look at the screen and see if it’s a false accusation?” The lighting technician quickly turned off the stage lights.
Instantly, all eyes locked on the big screen.
The email display was still up on the screen. Juliette calmly opened her email draft folder.
Inside was a draft written on September 17, addressed to Beau but never sent.
Juliette said, “Pay close attention. This draft contains the original formula for ‘Rose Blood.‘ Bianca just claimed that her initial draft was written on September 20. However, I had already written this email three days earlier.”
She opened the draft, revealing the detailed fragrance formula including the ingredient ratios and all.
Beau immediately called out, “Compare Bianca’s perfume composition and proportions with this formula.”
Under the large on–stage projection, the staff analyzed Bianca’s perfume, breaking down its components and ratios. Then they compared it to the formula in Juliette’s email.
They were exactly the same.
Bianca’s mind went blank.
Driven by sheer survival instinct, she stammered, “I… I must have remembered the date wrong. My initial draft wasn’t in September. It was in August!”

Juliette closed in on her, her gaze icy. “Is that so? Funny, because I also have a draft from July. The September formula was just an improved version. Want to see it?”
Bianca stumbled back a step, her face pale with fear.
Juliette added, “And Bianca, have you forgotten? Your first perfume, ‘Love Me, was my creation. Did you ever tell the Vaughn family that it was my work?”
Her words dripped with scorn.
Bianca’s breathing grew erratic. Her face was drained of color. She was on the verge of collapse.
Then, she looked at Mason desperately, as if he were her last straw.
She suddenly lunged forward, grabbing Mason’s arm in despair. “Dad, Juliette has completely ruined me.”
Mason was dumbfounded. His knees nearly gave way as he struggled to keep her steady.
he evidence of plagiarism was undeniable.
Coupled with Bianca’s desperate reaction, it left no doubt in anyone’s mind about the truth.
Beau seized the moment. “Now that Francis has presented solid evidence proving that Bianca’s submission this year is an act of blatant plagiarism, her first–place award is hereby revoked, and she is permanently banned from future competitions.”
His words echoed through the grand hall, loud and clear, thanks to the microphone. Everyone heard it.
Bianca stood frozen, her face pale, teetering on the brink of collapse.
Her fiery red gown, once radiant and dazzling, now clashed painfully with her scared complexion. The huge dress seemed ready to swallow her whole.
Mason had raised Bianca for many years and had high hopes for her. Bianca had been his pride and joy.
But now, seeing her reduced to this miserable state, he couldn’t help feeling a pang of pity for her. She had brought this upon herself, but as her father, his instinct was still to protect her.
Mason helped Bianca down from the stage, intending to shield her until the storm passed and figure out a plan later. But before they could escape, a swarm of reporters surrounded them, blocking their way. “Bianca, why did you plagiarize your sister’s work? Did you assume she wouldn’t speak up?” “Bianca, did you only plagiarize because you didn’t know your sister was Francis Kim?” “Mr. Vaughn, was your indulgence as her foster father what led to Bianca’s actions today?”
“Bianca, do you recognize your mistake? Should you apologize sincerely to your sister?”
“Bianca, you tried to flee after being exposed. Did it never cross your mind to apologize? Do you not realize how despicable your behavior is?”
Questions flew at them like daggers.
All sorts of unpleasant questions were hurled at Bianca. Mason could barely shield her from the onslaught.

Microphones kept poking at them.
Mason was furious. Summoning all his strength, he forced a path through the crowd, dragging Bianca with him.
They were almost free when someone stepped on the trailing hem of Bianca’s extravagant gown. More than one person, in fact.
Suddenly, the sound of tearing fabric echoed through the air.
Bianca clung tightly to Mason’s arm, still burying her face in his shoulder, oblivious to what had happened.
Evan was hurrying over from the audience to meet them when his eyes widened in shock. The torn gown slipped from Bianca’s body.
To avoid any visible undergarment lines, Bianca had worn something exceptionally light and revealing underneath. But that wasn’t the most shocking part. It was the marks on her skin. The marks were fresh, not from the night before.
van immediately thought of what Juliette had said in the front hall.
During the time he lost sight of Bianca, she must have been hiding somewhere secluded with Finn. And those marks were the proof.
Rage surged through Evan’s veins.
He believed that after what happened at the wedding, Bianca and Finn had cut ties.
He thought the reason Bianca had stopped coming to him was because she felt guilty.
But now he realized the truth. Bianca didn’t avoid him out of guilt. She had assumed that he would come crawling back to
her.
Evan had always believed himself unworthy of Bianca, which made Finn’s seduction all the more successful.
He thought it was his fault for not making his feelings clear, which had driven her into Finn’s arms.
But no, it had never been that.
Evan’s vision blurred out of immense anger.
