Chapter 1
In his office, Greyson scrolled through luxury jewelry on his phone, his face full of adoration
“How about this one? Daina has liked it for a long time. Her fair skin will make it look even more
stunning.”
Across from him, his friend Sutton Evans, a gynecologist, let out a heavy sigh
“At this price, anything would look good.”
“You’ve been married for five years, but I don’t think you’ve ever given Emma a single gift. Why not give her this one?”
Greyson’s face darkened, his tone turning sharp.
“You know full well she doesn’t dress up. What’s the point of giving her anything? She’d just
complain that I’m wasting money.”
“Daina is different. She’s still young, and young girls love to look pretty.”
Sutton nearly lost his temper on the spot.
“Greyson, wake up! Emma is the wife who has been by your side for five years. She’s lost three children for you. A single piece of jewelry wouldn’t even amount to a fraction of what you’ve spent
on Daina!”
“This is my final warning–no matter how high–end, prolonged use of this drug will destroy her body. If you keep this up, even if you regret it one day, you’ll never be able to have children again!”
Greyson waved him off indifferently.
“I won’t regret it.”
“I promised Daina that she would be the only one to bear my children.”
“As for Emma… I won’t divorce her either. Half of what I earn is hers–that’s enough compensation.”
Sutton slammed his hand on the desk, his face filled with anger.
“I watched you build your business step by step, and Emma suffered alongside you. You had a drink
or two, and she had to drink an entire bottle in your place. After everything she’s done for you, can

you really justify what you’re doing to her?”
“I’ve said my piece. If she ever finds out, the only thing waiting for you will be complete ruin.”
With those parting words, Sutton stormed out of the office.
I stumbled back into the storage room next door, barely holding myself together.
My heart pounded so hard it felt like it would burst out of my chest.
Five years of marriage. Seven years of love.
I had worked tirelessly alongside Greyson, sacrificing my time, my youth, my dreams, all to support
his business.
At just thirty, I already looked like a worn–out housewife.
I never dared to buy skincare products or makeup, always thinking of ways to save money for him.
His success meant more to me than my own.
Yet in the end, all my sacrifices had become nothing more than a cruel joke.
The three miscarriages I had suffered–Sutton had told me they were due to my excessive drinking
at business events.
My body was too weak to sustain a pregnancy.
I had blamed myself endlessly, taking medicine every day, desperately hoping to have a child of our
own.
But to him, I was nothing more than an obstacle in his pursuit of “true love.”
He felt guilty enough not to mention divorce.
Fine. I would make the choice for him.
I left the company and stood in the cold wind on the street.
I waited five hours.
Finally, the last light in the building went out, and Greyson appeared.
The moment he saw me, he whispered something to Daina before walking over.

He pulled me into his arms, his embrace as warm as ever.
“When did you get here? Why didn’t you come inside?”
“It’s nothing. I wanted to bring you dinner, but your secretary said you already ate.”
“Your health isn’t great. Stop doing things like this–you’ll wear yourself out, and I’ll worry.”
“Oh, right. Sutton stopped by to bring you more medicine. You’re almost out of the last batch, aren’t
you?”
I looked at the pills he handed me and silently put them in my bag.
His embrace was just as warm as before.
But I could no longer feel it.
When we got home, he wasted no time pinning me to the couch.
I put a hand to his chest, stopping him.
A flicker of impatience crossed his eyes, but he held back his temper.
“What’s wrong? Haven’t you always wanted a child?”
“I don’t feel well today. Next time.”
He never truly wanted to touch me in the first place.
Hearing my excuse, he didn’t even glance back before heading to the bathroom.
His phone lit up on the table.
Daina’s voice was so sweet it made me sick.
I unlocked his phone using Daina’s birthday as the password.
Immediately, a hidden interface popped up.
Only one social media app was installed.
And only one contact was saved under the nickname “Hot Little Kitten.”
The profile picture was Daina dressed as a cat–girl.

Her posts were a sickening timeline of their 1,000 dates together.
I clicked in, and their affectionate messages burned my eyes.
“Mr.Corbyn, rooftop tonight?”
“Minx. Wait for me.”
“Mr.Corbyn, how about in the car tonight? Right under your building. I’ve never tried that before.”
“Not afraid of getting caught? Guess I have no choice but to risk my life for my princess.”
