Everyone’s words were fearsome, Barbara had experienced it firsthand.
If her colleagues in the company saw her sitting in New CEO’s car to work, there would be kinds of rumors.
So when Leo asked her to sit in his car to work, she didn’t even think about it before she shook her head and rejected him.
Although she was not in Leo’s car, they arrived at the company about the same time.
While Barbara and a group of people were waiting for the elevator, Leo also arrived at the elevator specially reserved for CEO under the escort of two special assistants.

Barbara did not participate in the discussion, but she felt that it was kind of funny.

Recently, Barbara and a few of her colleagues from the same department were busy preparing the bidding project for the Grand Corporation.
Seeing that the bidding was about to start, Barbara became more tense, and she was so busy that she didn’t even have time to
eat lunch.
In the company, Barbara was famous for being a workaholic. It was common for people to not eat or work, and no one really
cared about her.
But today, when Barbara was too busy, she received a call from Leo.
Barbara looked around to see that there was no one around, then carefully picked up the call, “Is there something wrong?”
The implication was that when you were in the company, did not call her and did not let others know about their relationship.
Leo obviously did not expect Barbara to say this, and paused for a moment before replying, “It’s true that work is important, but you cannot go hungry.”
He still looked indifferent, but it wasn’t hard to hear his concern.
Barbara turned blushed, and said, “Alright, I understand.”
Leo, who was on the other side of the phone, did not speak anymore. Barbara did not know what else to say.
Leo, who was on the other side, spoke at the last moment again, “I am in Room 1808 of the Lily Hotel.”

Barbara nodded instinctively, “Then when you eat, I won’t disturb you anymore.”
“Barbara!” Leo’s tone sounded slightly heavier, and after a few seconds, he said, “I’ll wait for you.”
“There’s no need…” Barbara instinctively wanted to refuse, but before she could say anything, the other party had already
hung up.
Looking at the darkened phone screen, Barbara frowned slightly before sighing helplessly. Was there any reason for to refuse to have lunch with her newly wedded husband?
Lily Hotel was a five–star hotel near the company. It was expensive, and Barbara would normally not come here unless the company invited important customers.
When they arrived at Lily Hotel, Barbara was still hoping to not bump into some acquaintances, but she ran into Leo’s special assistant Jannie.
Barbara wanted to pretend she didn’t see her, but she stopped her, “Miss Barbara, Chairman Leo asked me to come and pick
you up.”
Barbara laughed awkwardly, and quickly caught up to Jannie.
She and Leo were clearly a legal husband and wife, but now they acted like they were having an affair. They were really
embarrassed.
Arriving at room 1808, Barbara saw Leo’s other special assistant.
Leo took the initiative to stand up and take Barbara’s jacket, hanging it on a hanger at the side. He then pulled out a chair for her to take a seat, and said, “Jannie and Todd have worked by my side for many years, they already know about our matters.”
Barbara nodded, she did not say a word, and only looked at Jannie and Todd for a bit longer.
Todd and Jannie nodded politely and left the room without saying anything else.
Leo personally scooped a bowl of soup and passed it to Barbara, “All these years, I have been doing some business, so a few people follow around me.”
Hearing him take the initiative to explain, Barbara was very pleased.
In the morning, his servant made breakfast and sent it over. He was also accompanied by capable people like Todd and Jannie. His background was even more complicated than she had imagined.

Barbara did not ask any further, and Leo also did not speak much either.

eat.”

Leo’s tone sounded overbearing and forceful, but Barbara did not hate him. Looking up, she smiled at him, “Thank you for your concern, but…”
“Chairman Leo?” Leo frowned, “Since you called me Chairman Leo, then will you listen to me?”
This man had used his identity to suppress her so quickly.
Barbara had been working at the innovation company’s Business Department for three years, and she was considered a smart and astute person. Now she really did not know how to deal with Leo.
Leo seized the opportunity and continued, “Then it’s decided.”
Barbara didn’t want to meet Leo covertly every day at noon, but she couldn’t find any excuses to reject, so she nodded and agreed.
She even found a reason to flee in a hurry.
When Barbara was hastily fleeing back, Leo slightly looked sullen. He subconsciously tapped at the table, as if he was planning something.
“Young Master.” A woman around forty odd years old knocked on the door and interrupted Leo.
Leo looked up and looked over coldly, “Is there something?”
The woman said, “Are these dishes to your liking?”
Leo had a small obsession with cleanliness, he almost did not eat outside, but this Lily Hotel was owned by him. The elegant private dining room of 1808 was arranged especially for him according to his preferences, and his food was naturally prepared by someone else.
Since young, Leo’s diet had always been taken care of by this woman, so she was the one who understood Leo’s taste the best.
“From now on, I’ll prepare two dishes for every meal. Less spicy!” Leo did not reply, but gave another order instead.
His eating habits were light, but Barbara’s was spicy. She had never told him about this, but Leo knew it.
